On our first night in Sardinia, we took the recommendation of our concierge on where to eat. BIG MISTAKE. Italian food should be beautiful, fresh and simple. A bowl of pasta can be magical and does not need to be expensive. This is the kind of place that puts people off Italy sadly. These guys rip you off and charm you both (especially your wife) at the same time.
The food here was well below average, but the scenic position on the water makes you forget it at the time. On leaving though, you are left feeling really cheated.
Possible the most disappointing Italian restaurant experience of my life. Sorry.

Having done some web-research, my girlfriend and I came across this restaurant.

We are very pleased we made the trip from our hotel to visit.

The welcome was very warm and we were brought to our lovely table on the terrace overlooking the marina.

The service was efficient, attentive and friendly.

The food was delicious and quite original - for Sardegna. Sea Urchin Foam infused linguini as a starter, and a raw seafood platter for two as a main. Other than in sashimi and sushi form, we had never had uncooked langoustines and prawns in such a way. Very delicate and extremely fresh. We were excited to be told that the platter also included raw razor clams, however we were professionally informed that the chef had decided not to serve them as they were not up to standard. An encouraging sign.

The wine we had was very good, although pricey. If we were to be picky, the wine glasses were on the thick side, considering the price and quality of the wine that was being served.

Ideal spot for people watching (yacht jet-setters) but also for a romantic dinner.

Overall, great food, great location, excellent service, but be prepared to shell out some cash.

Although we were a bit sceptical about visiting this particular restaurant (after reading some negative reviews online) both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. I had one of the best meals during our holidays in Sardinia, and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. We were given a table, righ in front of the sea, with a magnificent view. One of the most romantic dinners we 've ever had. Like everything in Porto Cervo, this restaurant was on the pricey side.

We were recommended to this by the Hotel Cervo as it is close by, at the time we did not realise it is owned by the hotel so not an unbiased recommendation. The seating is a little cramped as everyone wants to eat outside by the water so they cram in as many tables as they can there.
The meal was quite nice but we did have lobster and one bottle of wine but were a little taken aback by the Euro 540 bill for two people.
Worse was to follow as both myself and my partner were ill within 20 minutes of returning to our hotel and a night stomach cramps and an upset stomach with of trips to the bathroom followed and into the next day. We complained the following day to the manager who said we were probably upset by the wine, no, we were probably allergic to lobster, no we had it the night before and previously with no problems, we might be allergic to the strawberries, no we had no strawberries. We just wanted him to tighten up hygiene in the kitchen and the offer of another free meal in his restaurant to make amends was not one we were going to risk taking him up on.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We made reservations. The restaurant is located right in Porto Cervo near the docks where all of the multi-million dollar yachts moor. Upon our arrival to the restaurant we were greeted and shown to our table. The waitstaff seemed pretty stressed. The tables are very tightly packed which leads to it being unbearable with so many smokers. This makes it difficult to enjoy your food when all you can taste is cigarette smoke. Definitely not worth the time. Though the food is decent, it doesn't make up for the overall attitude/atmosphere of the restaurant. There is a reason this restaurant is currently rated last in Porto Cervo.
