“Wow the best ever”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We are constantly traveling in Europe and love staying at B&Bs. Sometimes the reviews are not what you really get. BUT GET THIS. Luciana's place is a homerun...the best ever. The views, the breakfast, and of course the hostess. Luciana is a charm. Her rooms are decorated by art that she has draw. The breakfast is just beyond words..not the basic toast, etc. this is fresh quiches, eggs any stlye, pastries, cakes, cheeses, breads all made by the wonderful Luciana. She was so helpful in directing us to some of the most beautiful beaches and nice restaurants. If you go, so hello to her from the two New Yorkers.

We stayed with Luciana for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip to Northern Sardinia and we were very well looked after! We would normally chose to stay in hotels so this was really a first for us and I'm glad that we gave it a shot. She is a most attentive host and gave us great tips on where to find the best beaches and restaurants - something that maybe the larger hotels lack is the personal touch of a hostess. Her house is bright and boasts an excellent view of the sea which is only a few mins away by car. The room was spotless with a nice big comfy bed and one thing that I was very impressed by was the proper hairdryer supplied in the room!! The breakfast each morning was delicious and all cooked by Luciana herself. There is free WiFi in the house. I would certainly recommend this quaint B&B and we ourselves hope to return in the future :-)

Grazie Luciana!
We were so lucky to have found this B&B in the beautiful but usually expensive Costa Smeralda. This north-east part of Sardinia is amazingly beautiful and justifiably famous. The bays and beaches are quite amazing with sandy coves surrounded by round pink granite rocks and turquoise, cristal clear waters. The B&B is 5 minutes drive from Baia Sardinia, a quiet (in September) little holiday resort town with a nice beach and a choice of good restaurants. Nearby you can go to Golfo Pevero Beach, Capriccioli Bay just south of Porto Cervo (with its famous marina and luxury harbor), Cala Liscia Ruia and many other more or less secluded beaches.
Back to the place Luciana, the owner, greets you with a big smile and tons of friendliness. She is totally there for you, built the place in her own style (she told us "give me a place to refurbish and I will do it. I love to renovate old spaces and to transform them into a cozy place!") and makes you feel at home from the minute you get there. We had the "blue room", the largest one right when you get in on the veranda. It has a very high ceiling (must be 18-20 feet tall) and a large space with an adjacent large bathroom with shower. Beautiful! Lots of space in the large closet, A/C and a mosquito net on the door (not so frequent in Italy). The loggia has a beautiful view on the sea and all the place feels very relaxing. The pleasant surprise comes in the morning when breakfast is served! A cornucopia of eggs, ham, bread, jams and Luciana's homemade cakes can be overwhelming but not if you are hungry after a long sleep and preparing for an active day at the beaches.
There is free wireless and a table set up with a laptop, a camera and a microphone for guests who want to Skype without having brought their own computer...
Luciana has three of those bed rooms and in the backyard there is even a little kitchen and a BBQ for those who want to cook themselves dinner.
I think she is open from April/May through October.
We will definitely come back and recommend this place to our best friends!

Room Tip: The blue room is the largest and lightest of the three. Try to ask for that one!

We stayed 3 nights and had a great stay in this true B&B. Luciana is so attentive and nice, ready to share all the information about the best beaches, restaurants and things to do.
Breakfast is really great!! All home made by herself...!!! We really loved it here.
On the last day since we were leaving late, she even let us take a shower outdoors and use her room to change!
The B&B can be hard to find (ask for directions!) but the location in great. Really near (3 minutes by car) Baia Sardinia, a really nice beach with good options for restaurants, ice cream, etc. Also nearby, there is a supermarket, and it is about 10 minutes away from other great beaches.
We will defenitly stay here again.

We only stayed one night here and wished it were longer. Luciana had informed us that she didn't have a cot for our toddler but had prepared a lovely mattress for him next to our bed that he loved. She was also so sweet with him and he had a blast running around the garden at the back. She sent us photos of where to turn to get to her B&B and I recommend you ask for those as it can be tricky to find the turn off from the main road between Baia Sardinia and Porto Cervo. The breakfast was lovely and the decor was very pretty. Luciana had created all the paintings in the house and freshly bakes the morning pastries. You def need a car to get here but the beaches are very close (5 min drives). She is also very accomodating about using her kitchen if you need to prepare things for your little one and there is also a BBQ space in the garden if you want to do it yourself for dinner. Oh and there is a laptop she has that you can use with a microphone and camera for Skype. Overall would def recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights at this B&B and it was my favourite of all the great places we stayed in Sardinia. The breakfast freshly prepared by the wonderful Luciana each morning really was something to behold. Coming out your room in the morning to the stunning view and eating eggs, bacon, all homemade cakes (HOMEMADE custard tarts, Super Super Cake, Puff Pastry rolls), fruit salads, fresh coffee, fresh juices was utterly amazing. The B&B also has a wonderful back garden with a little tastefully decorated grotto where you can prepare food in the evenings. The room is wonderful and the house is decorated with real attention to detail. Luciana is a great painter and a cultured lady of Rome, and she has fallen in love with Sardinia and has an endless list of amazing advice for the local area. She even brought us aperitifs and made us feel very at home. I can't wait to visit again. Make sure you do soon. Sam and Charlotte

If you are looking for something great at Costa Smeralda this is the spot. The rooms are really nice and clean. And both indoor and outdoor facilities are nice and cosy. The view from the B&B is spectacular to both the sea and mountains. And the host Luciana is the best host you can imagine. She has this personal and kind attitude which just gives your Holiday an extra nice touch. And she can always provide you with great recommendations for the best beaches, places to visit or restaurants. And the breakfast at this B&B is absolutely amazing. You really wake up every morning to a table full of delicatessen. Everything you can imagine is there and I can certainly recommend the bread which is good. This place is highly recommendable if you are looking for a really nice and personal experience at Costa Smeralda. It is recommended to have a car but there are free parking facilities. You are only a kilometre from either Baia Sardinia or Poltu Quartu and three kilometres from Porto Cervo, so it is easy to go around. For restaurants we can recommend Tamit in Poltu Quartu or Bar du Port in Porto Cervo. Phi Beach is a great beach bar in Baia Sardinia and if you are going to a nightclub try La Ruial. Costa Smeralda is packed with great Caribbean style beaches. Our personal favourite was Liscia Ruja but Principa Beach is also great. But again the best recommendations can be provided by your kind host at the B&B. So go hear – you will not regret.
