book a table right on the balcony fence. ask to be put on the top floor terrace to enjoy a breathtaking view of the harbour of Ponza. scroll leisurely down the wine list, which is excellent. the menu is easy, with few choices (often a sign that the restaurant is good), some more traditional, some more innovative, all very well executed. on my first visit i tasted a dish of spaghettoni (that's king size spaghetti), served with a cold sauce of tomato and lemon, and delicious, melt in your mouth raw shrimps. quite daring for italy (i could just picture the clients protesting that the spaghetti were lukewarm) but it caused us to return after three days. it does not come cheap, but the food and the location and view are well worth the price.
