We came to Pistolone da Nonno Mario in a big company of more than 10 persons, one of which was a local and did choose this restaurant for all of us. We were greeted by the owner and he was serving the table as well. Given that I am a big fan of sea food I did enjoy the lunch a lot. We had about 10 different starters/first and second dishes, all on the base of fish&sea food. As a result we stayed at the table from 13 till 18. That is honestly the first time in my life that I ate so much, but it was all so delicious, so that I couldn’t keep from trying the newly arriving dishes. All the sea food was very fresh so we even had a dish of raw king prawns. The style of cooking I would describe as traditional home Italian. The grouper that we ate was caught by the owner himself, who practices underwater hunting for many years.
The restaurant is situated on the mountain and has a very nice sea view and panoramic glazing. In a sunny day that should be charming, the day we went there it was gloomy and was raining from time to time. Nevertheless the atmosphere outside was well compensated by the warm atmosphere inside and perfect kitchen.
That is definitely a restaurant to come back to.
