I must confess to being surprised by the adverse reviews. After eating here on the first night we were so impressed that we came back for lunch, drinks and returned for dinner
We found the food to be local, extremely fresh and of the highest standard
The wine is superb, and the owner extremely knowledgable
The location is great and lends itself to every need;
If you want a drink watching the world go by en route to/from the Duomo - great
If you want a quiet relaxing quality meal - the dinning area to the rear is excellent
If you want an evening soaking up the atmosphere in the thick of it - this is the place
If you want a mixture of both - there is a small dining room that provides this also
Brava Andrea, thank you for making our 4 day stay in Orvieto so great

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat. We looked at the menu and the selection looked decent. There were also a huge amount of people sitting outside having appetizers and drinks. So we thought, it must be good. Unfortunately we didn't have wifi so we couldn't check what restaurants to try in Orvieto. I ordered the gnocchi pasta dish and my husband got the lamb stew. The waiter said it should take about 20 mins because they cook it as it is ordered so he suggested we get an appetizer to start. We got bread with oil and balsamic vinegar for 3 euro. And they brought a stale basket of bread. The meal came in approx 10 mins. The lamb stew was not a stew at all. It was a few pieces of lamb. COLD! Barely any meat for 14 euro. My gnocchi pasta was not even edible. It looked like dog food. And to be honest I don't even think a dog would eat it. I had a few bites and just left it. On top of that they charged a 2 euro copperto per person. We walked out if there spending 33 euro still starving. I feel that they just care about adding more food to your bill but when if comes to giving quality food, they just don't care. And the music was
blasting. Never again!
