We stayed in a villa about one mile up the road from La Torretta, so we stopped here often to either pick up wine or eat. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful to us in understanding the menu. We let the owners pick some of our meals, and their choices were outstanding. The antipasto dishes were fantastic (high quality meat and cheese). The pasta was homemade, and the olive oil grown on site. And the tiramisu was heavenly. Eight of us ate and drank and our bill was one of the lowest of our entire trip to Italy. The quality at an exceptional value. Plus, we stopped here several times to chat with the owners, and I felt as though we left our vacation with new friends from La Torretta. Plus, the drive up the hill to the restaurant is one of the most scenic of Orvieto, so this is a win-win. Do not miss this gem outside the heart of Orvieto!
