Orvieto was the highlight of our holiday and Guilia's bed and breakfast contributed to our experience. Guilia has renovated an old family property into a comfortable, spacious B&B. I loved her sense of decor blending contemporary pieces with antiques, and her large eat-in kitchen. For breakfast, other than the standard cereal and croissants, we got to taste her home baking alongwith fresh fruit from the farmer's market.
The room and bathroom are spacious and airy and very clean. The mattress is uber comfortable! In the mornings with the windows open, you can hear birds chirping and children chattering on their way to school.
She allowed me access to her computer to check emails, which I thought was exteremly generous of her.
Guilia recommended where to purchase ceramics, wine and gave great suggestions for restaurants.
We parked the car in the square and chose to pay for parking during the day, but Guilia did suggest an alternative that would be free.
Giulia gives you much more than what she charges for the rooms. I would definitely return.

Our original plans were to go to Orvieto for one day, but upon arriving and seeing how beautiful the town was and how quiet it seemed in comparison to the hustle and bustle of Rome, I decided that I wanted to spend a night there! We asked our waiter if he knew of a place to stay, and it just happened this his friend, Giulia, was having lunch there as well so he went and asked if if she had a room available for 3 people...and she did! She agreed to meet us later in the day by the clock tower, and from there she walked us to the b&b. It was conveniently located on one of those narrow, cobblestone streets, and although it's housed in an old building, it's been totally updated and modernized inside. Our room was quite spacious as was our private bathroom which housed a huge whirlpool tub!!! in which I soaked later that evening. Everything was super clean, the bed was oh, so comfortable, and I loved that we were able to open the windows/doors onto the street below (which was a very quiet street)...in the morning, I watched the sun rise, stunning, as I looked out over the rooftops of Ovieto. Giulia prepared a wonderful continental breakfast for us before we departed for our trip back to Rome. In hindsight, I would have much preferred staying at her place for five or six nights, taking day trips to Rome, etc., and other large cities from there as the train is conveniently located. I loved the b&b, and Ovieto and hope to return some day.

We have some mixed feelings about our stay at this B&B. The host, Guilia, is friendly and accommodating and tries to make the stay comfortable. When we arrived on a busy Saturday, she immediately made lunch and dinner reservations for us at excellent restaurants. The rooms are clean and quiet and the location is central to everything in Orvieto. Guilia also allowed us to stow luggage and let us keep a key until we were able to retrieve it. However, the website was misleading. It showed pictures and details about a "hobby room" that the guests can relax in, but this room no longer exists and the promised tea and coffee in it do not happen. The breakfast is adequate but doesn't live up to its description. The amenities in the rooms are quite spartan and could be greatly improved by even some small purchases. We had to ask for additional soap and toilet paper (receiving another half roll) and there are no plastic cups in the bathroom.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the historical center, 5 min walk from the funicolare, 5 min walk from the parking (if you are renting a car) and just round the corner from the all the main attractions and the bars and restaurant.
Giulia is a real star, she made us feel completely at home, and she was more than willing to accomodate all our requests... she even changed the time of breakfast as we preferred to have it later!
Hotel service with an home feel - priceless
the B&B has been recently refurbished and its a real gem, the rooms are cured to every little details.
I would defintely go back and reccomend it to anyone going in the area

Pleasant; convenient; spotless; and very cool to be in the Eustruscan village. Would stay there again and recommend to travelers who like the comfort of a B&B but like the freedom to explore. We took the train from Roma (15 Euros) and car rental (Hertz) conveniently located if you want to enjoy the countryside; Monepulciano; Montelcino; DeRuta, Todi, or Pienza. Easy to drive in Italy. Parked in the Hertz lot and saved the daily fee! A great place to stay 2-3 nights as a stopover between Florence and Rome.

Giulia was an excellent guest. She took care of our stay and upgraded us from the double room to the suite with hydromassage as it was available. The room was big and comfortable. A very nice italian breakfast was available in the morning. We were few steps from the main shops, the restaurants, as well as from the Duomo. All historical attractions are no farther than a 10 minutes walking time.
Few small drawbacks are: payment is cash only, however ATMs are few steps away; it seems that the hydromassage was not working, but not sure if I was trying to operate it correctly; there was no hook for the shower blowpipe, so maybe it would be appreciated to provide one.
