Serena and Francesco are wonderful people.
We were fortunate to find them and have Frallarenza as our base to explore Umbria/Tuscany and Lazio from while riding scooters (rented and delivered by Umpria Vespa - see review).
The thing is, it's not just Serena and Francesco, it's so much more; its their home, it's their lovely animals, it's their friends, it's feeling like we belonged (for at least a week) to a lifestyle that brought us to a slice of calmness.
I'm sure a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep this property up and running - but you won't see or hear it (other than the lovely sounds of ducks and geese quacking and chickens clucking).
Let's not forget how they noted that it would rain one day during our week and made special accomodations to have her retired ceramics master open his now closed factory shop in Ficulle and teach us how to make their type of ceramic pottery (how lucky were we)?
We were the two of us in the large apartment and it rocked to have so much space to ourselves - don't be afraid to go the extra if its a small party of two or four for the bigger place, you'll like it.
Check out the pictures - I miss them all while I write this.More
