“Favorite spot in town”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

A few years ago I stayed in one of the rooms above this restaurant, so I knew the food was good. on this trip we ate here twice, both times were excellent.. our waiter was super friendly and helpful. the whole staff was great...the pasta dishes are good, but the real star in the wood burning oven. The pizza here is almost as good at Naples . I had pizza on both visits...

On New Years Eve we stopped in for drinks before the celebration in the piazza and they were so nice to suggest a bottle of champagne and plastic glasses to take with us.

“Pizza is OK, but nothing special”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

This is a great place to have lunch under the awning and watch everyone walk by. It is well worth while for people watching. We had pizza which was OK but left us not impressed with Tuscan pizza. I can't address their other food.

“nerves of steel”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

I was in Montepulciano in October / november attending a language course, and helping at the harvest season, both grapes and olives. We were a group of four and we all ordered wild boar with pasta for dinner. We are normally very wimpy and end up eating anything "good or bad" a restaurant brings us so not to create a scandal...this time however we just could not accept. The wild boar, which we have tasted many times before in other restaurants in Siena and also in Montepulciano was cold and filled with nerves and tendons and god knows whatelse. I will not return.
