Me and my parents went here on the second to last day of our Holiday in Monte.

If you are prepared to splash out a bit then this is surely the best dining experience in the area.

We had the set menu of around 6 courses, the highlight for me was the pigeon ravioli which was simply out of this world.

If you aren't on a tight budget and want fine dining around the Montepulciano area, look no further than La Grotta

It was the perfect culmination of a great holiday.

A very relaxed atmosphere with high ceilings and and brick on view walls, very clean throughout with very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The food on the set menu of 6 courses was truely beautiful and some of the best food on my trip to italy.

The local tuscan soup was truely special and a highlight of the meal.

I would definatley recommend this restaurant to a friend.

This is a very good restaurant. Everything is done professionally and with great attention to detail. The food is excellent. The ravioli with ricotta and basil was a standout, the lamb and beef both beautifully cooked and the marscapone with coffee ice cream was among the best desserts we have ever eaten. We liked the decor which was full of light and charm. The staff were very well trained and pleasant. We did not need to ask for bread or water and the wine was topped up at just the right times. This is not your typical Italian trattoria, more a special occasion, fine dining place. It was mostly tourists but all seemed to be enjoying the experience. Expensive? Yes but great value for the money.

This is easily the best restaurant we visited in Montepulciano Sienna or Florence. Service Super Food Outstanding. Lovely Location. Menu to suit most palates. Wine list to accommodate most tastes and pockets this was not only the best food we had but easily the the best value.

We had dinner here for my husband's birthday and the meal was excellent. The owner was most gracious and made excellent wine recommendations for our meal.
