“Cool, fun atmosphere-- and very good (not amazing) food.”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

My fiancé and I loved this place so much we came twice in 4 days. Once for dinner, once for some wine tasting. We'd never seen a self-service wine tasting before and acted like two kids left alone at a wine arcade. A totally blast! Dinner in the downstairs "cave" is awesome-- great service and the atmosphere is really cozy and warm. LOVE all the exposed brick. The food is great. But not amazing. We definitely had better meals in Tuscany, but that's probably because it's TUSCANY-- amazing food is everywhere. So, definitely visit. Have a blast. Enjoy your delicious meal. But leave knowing the food won't be what you remember. For us, it was all about the experience-- and that self-serve wine tasting. (So fun… this needs to come to Los Angeles!)

“Excellent lunch and top quality wines”
Reviewed March 3, 2014 via mobile

With my wife we had lunch last Sunday
The Pici were outstanding with a phenomenal hare sauce and accompanied by a glass of vermentino from Tuscany
As main course we had a tagliata of cinta senese pork loin perfectly grilled and accompanied by a glass of brunello di montalcino suggested by the owner
The wine was so good that we purchased a bottle to drink at home
Quality of food is great, the service very friendly and the prices very reasonable

“Wedding reception”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

We had our wedding reception at the Bottega and I'm so glad we did. We had planned on another restaurant but they never got back to our wedding planner and she found this place. They were very responsive to all of our menu changes due to the number of guests we were expecting. The meal was a perfect display of the "Tuscan Way" and our family was delighted. The price was extremely reasonable and lower than I expected. They even provided pre appetizers to our guests while our my husband and I were outside with our photographer. The owner is amazing and closed the restaurant down for our event to make it as personal as it could be.

“Memorable -- terrific!”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

My husband and I stayed in town for a few days this past winter and came here for wine tasting and dinner on a foggy night. We loved trying the many wines here -- the owner is very knowledgeable and committed to his business and to the area in general. Dinner was really wonderful, really one of the very best meals we had in a three-week trip to Italy. Everything was delicious, fresh, very satisfying in every way. Best pasta I had on the trip: pumpkin ravioli on a bean puree with green olive pesto -- inventive and worked perfectly. Great pork, coniglio, etc. as well. Also an amazing eggplant terrine-like parmesan. SO good. Book a table because even on a pretty early winter weeknight, there were plenty of people and the night before was completely booked -- and for good reason!

Good luck Paolo!!!

“Worth the stop just for the wine tasting”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We had a dinner in the oven in our apartment so just went down for some bar snacks and wine tasting one early evening. The owner was apologetic that he did not have all of his tasting stations open (it was off season) but regardless we found a couple of dozen options. Great venue for finding local wines to either take with enjoy during your stay. Plus, if you are on a budget, a terrific way to taste some expensive choices without breaking the bank. Be sure to go downstairs into some of the caves.
