“Wonderful family-gorgeous place!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We were spoiled beyond measure by the hospitality, beautiful grounds and lovely spacious apartment. We were sad that we were only there two nights, next time longer! Thank you Marzia for all the guidance around the area. You all are very special! Hugs, Paul and Kay

We had the most amazing time with Fiore, Marzia, and Alice! You really won't find better hosts anywhere. We stayed in Apt. Glicine from June 15 to 19, 2013, celebrating a special Anniversary and my "big" birthday. It was the perfect place for us. The bright and colorful apartment was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. It was so quiet at night that we slept very well!

From our Italian home, we visited many villages and tasted much wine. It is an ideal "home base" for day trips to many Tuscan and Umbrian villages. We were offered full access to the family vegetable garden and ate a wonderful, freshly picked salad! One night, we went with the family and other guests to a pub in Castiglione del Lago, and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Another night we were treated to a traditional Tuscan meal in Marzia's Salon, prepared by Marzia and Fiore.

Don't think that art is only in the museums and cathedrals in Italy. One visit to La Manzinale will prove you wrong! Fiore is the architect, carpenter, and gardener. Marzia is the painter and interior decorator. The rooms are adorned with Marzia's creativity and talent. Ask to see their photos of the renovation!

Finally, if you don't speak Italian, that is not a problem here. Marzia and Fiore understand and speak much more English than they think they can! And their daughter, Alice, translates everything between their guests and her parents. She is multi-lingual in 5 languages: Italian, Spanish, and English, some Chinese, and one other language I've forgotten.

If ever we get the chance to return to Italy, La Manzinale is our choice for home away from home.

Room Tip: You won't need to choose. All the apartments and both stand alone villas are spacious, colorful...

This was our second time back to LeManzanie. Everything about this place is a joy. First the owners could not be more gracious. Marzia, Fiorie, and Alice will do everything possible to make your stay special. The pool, getting fresh veggies from Fiorie's garden, or the central location. It is the best.

3 friends and myself traveled to Italy June 2013. We found Le Manzinaie on the trip advisor. We couldn't have been happier with our accomodations. We stayed in the stand alone villa. From the moment we arrived until we left we were enthralled. Fiore, Marzia and Alice were so helpful and gracious. Our homecooked meal was the best food we had our entire trip. It was so great to get in our car and drive to a little Tuscan town for the day then come back, relax by the pool and cook our own dinner. We picked lettuce, zucchini and onions to make our salad. The tomatoes and fruit were not quite ready. It was fun to talk with Alice about her college exams in English and Chinese! They make you feel so at home. I know I will return.

Room Tip: It got a little hot on the top floor of the small villa.

Wow! I really don't know where to begin. This was our first time to Italy and of course everything was new and unknown. There are three sisters and two husbands on this journey. When we pulled our car into the driveway at Le Manzinaie the gates automatically opened and we could see down the long cypress lined driveway Alice, Marzia and Fiore waiting to greet us. Immediately, our uncertainty of a new country melted away. We were greeted with open arms, kisses and ice cold glasses of wine and bowls of chips and espresso for my husband. It didn't matter what you needed, the family was so willing to help you in any thing they could do to make your stay more comfortable. They gave us travelling directions to every destination we travelled to from the Villa and the directions were flawless right down to each and every turn and twist in the roads. All our travelling directions were perfect and down to the exact amount of twists and turns in the roads. We spent three weeks on the property of Le Manzinaie and took the trains to Venice, Rome and Florence on one day excursions with the exception of Venice from the villa. We were invited to help ourselves to anything in the beautifully kept garden and wow did we eat a lot of amazing salads! We were invited by the family to indulge in two suppers with them. The food never stopped coming for three hours and the wine flowed freely! What fun we had together. One night Alice, Fiore and Marzia invited us to go to a pub for dinner and drinks with the other travellers who were in villas at Le Manzinaie as well. That evening was such a spectacular night and it gave us a chance to see another hill town. We will not ever stay anywhere else in Italy when we return. We met a couple at the villa who have returned to Le Manzinaie for the fourth time. Alice, Marzia and Fiore.....you will be in our hearts forever and we will never forget your generous, loving and gracious personalities.

All our love,
Khamis & Marilyn Chilliwack, BC Canada

My first trip to LeManzinaie in October of 2011 was so perfect, I never thought it could be topped. I was wrong. I just returned from another week at this beautiful Tuscan Villa. This time I brought along a few friends. I had talked so much about my first visit, that my friends couldn't wait to go. They were not disappointed. You can't be disappointed when your hosts are such wonderful people, your villa is charming and immaculate, the grounds are impeccable, the pool and orchards are beautiful and from the minute you arrive Marzia, Fiore and Alice welcome you as family.
To experience the best sights, restaurants and shopping, they will provide maps, directions and helpful recommendations.
Then, there is this incredible dinner they prepare for their guests. The most delicious food complimented by just the right wine and ending with a wonderful desert made from fresh grown fruits from the farm and Fiore's special cappuccino.
If you're visiting Italy, don't miss LeManzinaie. You will want to return

We stayed for 3 weeks in the Villa Iris. The grounds were like paradise. The large pool was great to return to and relax in the afternoon after exploring the Tuscan hill towns. Marzia, Fiore and Alice go way beyond their call of duty in making your stay the most enjoyable and memorable. Alice is amazing with giving you directions and information to wherever you wanted to explore. The location of Le Manzinaie in Tuscany was totally the best. Was in close proximity to all the walled hill towns, 1 3/4 hr. train ride to Rome or Florence. The highlight of our trip to Italy was our stay at Le Manzinaie-we shall never forget this awesome family. Actually, we must return-and the only place we would consider staying would be Le Manzinaie.
