“Worth the visit but plan ahead ”

The vineyard is beautiful and set up nice and high however a few things you should know before... This is not in Montepulciano. It is about 25 minutes outside of the Centre....The drive is beautiful but just further then I thought. You must have a reservation for lunch and it is at 12:00. It also includes a tour. Lunch is $95. Euro and is 4 courses with 7 wine pairings.
We arrived too late for lunch so I am not able to comment on the quality but we did enjoy a cheese platter of local cheeses for $10. Euro and a glass of wine each for around $5. Euro. I suggest the vino noble Di Montepulciano....very nice wine and I ended up buying a bottle for $19. Euro.

“Nice winery, good atmosphere! Do it!”
Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

Our first winery visit, but it was good. Relaxed, clever girl told us about a serious wineproducer doing it the ecological way. Very Nice atmosphere, calm, quiet, well sorted and prepared. Saw the experimental vineyard and the impressive small winecellar, before a relaxed and nice winetasting. We really enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone who are uncertain if a vineyard visit is worth the money. Go, relax and enjoy!

“Tour and Lunch - A Great Experience”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

We enjoyed a tour and full lunch at this winery. The tour was unique, as it included explanations on how unique their processes are in so many ways, as well as explanation about the process of creating Vin Santo. We have been to many wineries and enjoyed the fact that new innovations to the science of winemaking were explained. Though the tour was good, the lunch was close to the best meal we had on our two week visit to Italy. We tasted numerous different wines, paired with each course. I wish I did not have to drive right after lunch, because they were willing to simply keep refilling our glasses with their best wines. The explanations of the wine characteristics by the waiter were very informative. The presentation of the food was special. Tasting tow very unique styles of Vin Santo was a great addition to the dessert / cheese. I highly recommend this winery, even if only for an excellent meal at the restaurant.

Reviewed August 1, 2014

we were received by Valentina, a young pretty nice italian girl. She definitely likes what she does, cause she can make you feel in love with the farm too, explaining tiny details.

3rd year in a row. Excellent food, outstanding wines. The 50/59 is exceptional, and really enjoyed the Occhio this year.
