Had a great lunch at La Capezzine. Excellent wines, food fabulous and views to die for. What more could you want. Already did the tour last year so just came for the meal. The shop is worth visiting as it carries some great stuff, produce, wine and souvenirs.

My wife and I went to Avignonesi after someone in Cortona recommended it and we had an amazing experience. We went for the mid-day tour and lunch and from Valentina our guide to Kladji our waiter everything was incredible. Valentina really knew her stuff and took the time to answer our questions. Kladji explained each course and wine pairing in great passionate detail and really added to our overall experience. The room where we ate was a beautiful spot that overlooks the hills of Montepulciano. It was a day we won't soon forget!

Avignonesi was recommended to us by friends who had been a few months before we went. It lived up to all they said and more! We did the tour and lunch and it was exquisite. Not only is the property gorgeous, but the tour was excellent, the wine was excellent, and the lunch was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable and it will definitely be a must next time we are in Italy. Molto buono!

I could not express in words how satisfied I was with the tour and lunch but it took us about 40 minutes after lunch to pay. The line was long and not enough people to assist. If you want to just pay and leave afterwards you better leave before the grappa otherwise it becomes a land of nobody

Dear Driwbr
Thank you for your kind words regarding the tour and lunch and we apologize for the delay at checkout. We are aware that this aspect is our Achilles heel, and something we are constantly working on improving. Some days are just surprisingly busy! All our scheduled activities require a reservation and have limited spaces (tours -15 people max, cooking classes - 8 people max, and wine-paired lunches - 45 people max), but we also get people who drop in for a tasting and to sit in our Cellar Door, and this is what happened on the day you were at Le Capezzine. Thank you for your feedback. We'll keep working on it, and I'm sure we'll get it right!
All best,
Oonagh Stransky

After a week in Tuscany with more lunches, wine tastings, and winery tours than can be imagined this was by far our best wine / lunch experience. Beautiful property, excellent tour guide, exceptional lunch with wine pairings in an elegant setting - simply magical. Our lunch waiter / wine guide Klajdi was particularly memorable. I highly recommend this if you are visiting Tuscany. The Avignonesi visit was recommended to us by Blake Noyes Jr who is a very knowledgeable player in the restaurant industry in NYC. It was a super recommendation indeed.
