I stayed with 4 friends at La Creta for 2 weeks in September - we rented both apartments both of which were very comfortable and adequately set up for our needs. The rural setting was superb; I especially enjoyed hearing the tinkling of the sheep's bells several times a day as the made their way to and from the pasture past our door. The views across the valley to Montepulciano in the morning light were idyllic and it was wonderful to watch the grape pickers work their way up the lines of the vineyard over several days. The basilica of St Biagio was a magical sight but best of all was the wonderful silence that descended each night as we watched the stars and the lights in the neighbouring settlements.
Cristina was an attentive hostess who was the source of local information and some wonderful home cooked treats! Nothing was too much bother for her.
The only drawback is that as it's 3 km out of town we became so relaxed we forgot about organising our time so that we got to the baker, shops and bank before siesta!More
