“Christiano is the man!!”

Absolutely deeeeeeelizioso!!
Pici Tuscan sauce, so tempted to pick up the plate and lick it clean! Pici had great texture and the sauce was slow cooked with molto amore!

Maialimo al forno, hit me one more time! The meat was so tender flavored with a ton of winter herbs

Food was A star!

Christiano is on a different level! All in all I had the such a great meal I had to give Christiano a big old hug in much appreciation of the love and effort put into this dining establishment.

Definitely coming back and spreading the good word!

“Everything a restaurant should offer”
Reviewed November 18, 2013 via mobile

It seems useless to me to spend to many words describing this outstanding place but I must.
The food is more than delicious: starting from the pasta with truffles, to their special duck, every dish is not just good, but also revisited by Cristian (the owner) and the chef. Talking about Cristian, he is incredibly nice, always with good and ad hoc suggestions. We always have a good chat with him, and last time he even shared with us his special recipe for Cantucci biscotti (not mentioning that he offered us a full plate of Cantucci with vin santo and a chestnut mousse).
Excellent also the wine list, not just expensive wines but also the €8 bottles are very remarkable.

I've already eaten there three times (essentially every time I am in that area), I also tried the other "more famous" restaurants in the area, even the ones recommended by Guida Michelin, but Villa Nottola is far the best one both for the quality of the food, and the food/price ratio; probably one of the top 5 I've ever been.

“Don't miss this spot by Montepulciano”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

Great place, great food and great wine at a very reasonable price. Cristiano, the manager, suggested the least expensive wine on the list: the excellent Nottolino at €12.

We had the Ravioli ai Tartufo (with loads of truffle for €12), the Maltagliati ai Funghi Porcini and the Risotto ai Funghi Porcini. Everything was amazing. Cristiano is such a nice host and has great knowledge of wines around the region.

A great place to visit or stay over for a few days!

“Exceptional Hospitality and Local Art”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

This restaurant was amazing, because even though the traditional Tuscan diet is not vegetarian-friendly the chefs provided great alternatives such as rosemary with lentils, grilled vegetables (egg plant, zucchini), pici pasta, and caprese. The business is also a great supporter of local artist, which adds character to the elegant restaurant. It certainly worth visiting, whether drinking a glass of wine, snapping photos, or a full course meal!

“Typical Regional cuisine”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

High standart of typical regional Tuscan cuisine, lovely please, nice staff serving with sympathy expecially Cris (Cristian that I believe is the owner of the restaurant).

Whereas in the area there are lot of overpriced and well evaluated Hostarias from Tripadvisor, which are not customized, serving convenience, taylored to the mass and tourist meal oriented, Villa Nottola offer instead only traditional dishes with fair price (considerring the quality carried out), with good presentation in a Villa from 18th Century. For Tuscany lovers is a must!!!!
