I was allocated the Miro hotel whilst on a Newmarket Holidays 'Tour of Tuscany' and stayed for one week in mid-September. It is 3 star, but the staff make if feel like 5 star. The bedroom and bathroom were small but adequate (on a tour, you really only shower, change and sleep so dont spend a great deal of time in your room). The air-con worked fine (although I'm not sure how impressive it would have been in the middle of summer). The TV in the bedroom only had 6 channels and were only broadcast in Italian - we didnt mind but if you want to watch a lot of TV on holiday, perhaps choose a different hotel!
The breakfast was good but simple (nothing hot); the evening meal was 3 simple courses, but with plenty of variety and the wine was inexpensive. All staff were lovely and friendly, especially the lady who seemed to be in charge in the restaurant. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, they changed money for us, directed us with maps to here and there, booked an optional tour for us and opened up the breakfast room an hour early because we had a very early start one morning.
There was a lovely little pool outside which we didnt have the chance to use, the hotel was very quiet, about a ten minute walk from the 'hub' of the town centre and about 15 minutes' walk to the train station. Lovely little market about 2 minutes away. The hotel had free wi-fi available in the lobby/restaurant which was great.
