“Beautiful hotel and great service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2012

I stayed at the Hotel Pellegrini for 2 nights with a group. The staff was very helpful and accommodating--even bringing me a fan to my room when the a/c was not working properly. It was fixed the next day too! The rooms had balconies with curtains to keep the light/sound out. The room was in good repair--clean, well-lit, comfy beds. There was a safe and large closet. The bathroom had a large shower---we may have had a handicapped accessible room (but were on the 4th floor so not sure.) There was wi-fi in the lobby and a cute bar for coffee, tea, wine/beer in the hotel with tables and service just in front of the hotel. The town of Montecatini was lively with lots of shopping, dancing, and singing at the church across from the hotel. The food was delicious as well with a beautiful breakfast including fresh fruits. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had some problems with a/c on floors 3 and 4. There are some rooms that are quieter in the back...

I loved where this hotel was located, though it was quite noisy. The rooms were fine. We had 3 people in our room, and we have 4 single beds in the room. We had a little balcony off our room which was located on the front side of the hotel. The food was really bad though and since our breakfast was included in our tour package, we usually ate breakfast there. Also the staff that worked the breakfast room were very sullen and rude. One morning we walked to Giovanni's which is about 2 blocks away, and had a wonderful breakfast there. The staff who worked the front desk were very nice and helpful. I loved the town of Montecatini where the hotel is located!

we were upgraded to this hotel from a 3* but the food was awful. Maybe because of the deal struck by the tour operator ? I would give the food ( we had ) one star ..I certainly wouldn't pay for it !

We saw the outside of this hotel and were a little concerned, the rooms were lovely, basic but clean and had a big bathroom. The restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient and made us feel at home. The location was great, right accross the street from the shopping area and the town was lovely! Would reccomend this hotel to anyone!

With a large group i stayed at Hotel Terme Pellegrini. The rooms were huge. I had four people in my room, with room to spare! We had a balcony right on the front. It was a bit noisy and the manager didnt speak good English which was hard sometimes. It was right in the middle of this cute little Italian town.

We were part of a Trafalgar European tour group (cost-saver). We stayed at this hotel 1 night and really spent minimal time in the room/hotel – after all we were in Europe to sightsee!

Hotel’s positives
- big, clean rooms
- polished floor boards and plenty of room
- comfortable beds and pillows
- large bathroom with separate shower
- next to the town square, so it’s extremely central
- balconies that you can walk out on to

Hotel’s negatives
- can hear all of the noises from the street, and there seemed to be some school children roaming the streets until the early hours
- not much to do once you’ve perused the shops
- don’t attempt to get a drink other than wine at dinner unless you try the bar before or after dinner
- staff serving dinner were sullen and unhelpful
- breakfast was better than dinner, although neither was great

  • Liked — The rooms and bathrooms and proximity to lots of beautiful shops
  • Disliked — The staff serving breakfast and dinner
