“Gorgeous night views!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

It's old, it's creaky, and it's absolutely worth the trip up the hill for the views, and for the visit to the old town at the top. (Check Le Torre for dinner!). Don't miss reading about the history of the tram while you wait for the next train.

“Great cable car!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

We have traveled the funicolare in the past up to Montecatini alto. Great fun with friends. Dinner at La Torre on the main square is the best in Italy! Trust me!

dont travel seated in one of the carriages but stand on the end, facing downhill if possible, for the best views

“Worth the trip to see the pretty town at the top.”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Cars a bit basic because they are vintage which added to the experience. Run every half hour which needs checking so you don't wait too long. Pleasant staff. Fare acceptable at 7 euros return.

“fabulous morning trip”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

We took a party of 56 children btween 10 and 13 years of age with 7 teachers up and down the funicolare. It was managed well in two parties, without delaying other users. the staff were kind and patient with the children and the whole experience was fantastic fun.
At the top the children had an hour and a half of shopping, sightseeing and exploring. All the shop keepers, bar staff and locals were great with the children and they had a splendid morning.
I would reccomend this trip to anyone.
