“Worth the trip!”

Montecatini Alto is so worth a visit--pretty, winding streets, wonderful sites, excellent shops and cafes. You can easily spend a day there.

“Furnicular railway to Montecatini Alto”

Great views from the top and was much quicker than walking (or driving)! Went by car on Thursday evening for a meal in a restaurant and were spoilt for choice.

“A beautiful panorama”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

It's one of the attraction of Montecatini and it' s a very pleasant and different way to travel from Montecatini Terme to Montecatini Alto . The panoramic view over the town , a beautiful sunset and the best dinner we had in Tuscany: Caffe Giusti.
It was a real pleasure to discover the old town at the altitude.

“The only way is up.”

Going every half an Hour to the delightful Montecatini Alto, with its Food, History and Sensational views. It does not operate at lunchtime so you eat at the top or the bottom and relax

“Love this journey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

I have travelled on this many times because the funiculare is a wonderful way to get to the Alto and such fun too! There are splendid views of Montecatini and the Tuscan countryside as you go up.
