We stayed for 2 nights and discovered that rooms can vary, as some are larger than others, and may have an impact on what your bathroom is like. Fortunately, we had a larger bathroom and our room had shutters that opened up onto a balcony that overlooked the street. Our bath had a shower/tub combo that had one glass panel. Bidets seem to be the norm in Italy, alongside the toilet. Our room had 2 twin beds pulled together to form a single bed, as many cruise lines do. The clothes closet was a huge walk-in that also included a safe. Bathroom amenities included soaps, shower cap, and hair dryer. Hand towels are like dish towels (thin) and wash clothes are non-existent in Italy. Our stay included breakfast, which was quite good and offered scrambled eggs, bacon, breads, fruits, yogurts, juices, and coffee. Our wake-up calls were almost to the minute. We would definitively stay at this hotel again.

This hotel, where I stayed for two nights and days, gives a somewhat imperial impression, with its grand entrance. But after a short while you encounter reality, if not at least when enter your room and find quite poor conditions in almost every sence of the word; the most simple kind of bed, a very narrow bathroom, surprisingly thin walls, which transfers every sound from your neighburs. On top of everything they almost made me pay more than double of what I should. After my protest and some investigations they accepted my complaint, but never came up with the smallest excuse. I would say, the only advantige with this hotel, is its position right in the middle of everthing, when you dwell in Montecatini.

We stayed only 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very professional and courteous. The location is great, right next to a park. There is a nearby street market in the evenings. Also downtown is a short pleasant walk where you will find wonderful shops and cafes. We were there in late September and enjoyed our evening walk as did many of the locals.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again if there were no other lodging options available. I can only give it a 3 out of 5 rating. The piazza outside the main building is quite nice and there is a gelateria on one side that was excellent. There is a café on the other side and the adjacent street with its sidewalk vendors had a casual flea-market atmosphere which we enjoyed. Our tour group stayed in the annex across the street and our room faced the main building. The décor is a bit threadbare and could use updating, and some moldings and fixtures could benefit from some basic maintenance, but our room was comfortable with an old world feel. One window had a small veranda looking across to the main building and both windows were tall with shutters and overall, the room was bright, airy, and quite pleasant. We had a big walk-in closet which is nice for stowing luggage, and a large bathroom. Bathrooms in Italy all seemed to have their quirks, and this one was no different. There was very poor water pressure in the shower making showering fairly difficult. Breakfast was adequate and similar to the other hotels serving American style buffets. There is a nice park a few blocks away with an old opera house and carousel out front, and it is only about a 10 minute walk into the main part of town. It is about a 20 minute walk to the train station and less than an hour to Florence by train. My guess is that this hotel is price competitive with the other hotels in Montecatini Terme making it attractive for tour groups, but it has seen better days.

A cosy hotel, but needs improvements, free wi-fi in lobby only. My room was small with no balcony and was on the corner of the building which was noisy. The bathroom was pathetically small and not much space. The safe box was not even secured to anything just lying on the tabletop. Breakfast was cold buffet and very disappointing and not much variety. The outside seating area was pleasant enough. Shops and amenities are fairly close by. In my opinion it needs alot of improvement to warrant a 4 star rating.

Very nice old style hotel. Service personal are nice and friendly, place is well kept. The rooms are nice but very small. We had a metal post large bed. The shower was large but for the rest of the bathroom I did not know you could get that much stuff in there. Even had a biddett in there. We also had a balcony. Very good dinner with soup and chicken. Breakfast at 7;00 am again was lunch meat, cheese, dry bread and eggs. There was a nice little street market running down the front street. Who knows when they closed.
