“Amazing view of Milazzo”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Went on a tour of the castle. Extremely interesting history and we were amazed of how large it is. You should really see it when visiting Milazzo, not to miss.

“A surprising and charming castle”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

At first we were a little disappointed by the entrance but very soon a very nice, older man immediately came to us and gave us a charming tour in the little church. He tried his very best to explain everything in English mixed with Italian. He pointed out special elements in the church and was a very loveable guide. The additional museum had an interesting video presentation and artist with a display of handmade artifacts. Although the artist was 70 years old he was an extraordinary man with many interesting stories and things he made. The Castello, although you couldn't visit it yet, was a very nice little trip. With the most loveable Sicilian people we've ever met.

“Nice views, interesting history”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

We were riding our bikes from Cape Milazzo coming back on the high road and decided to check out the castello. I was put off by some reviews that said that we couldn't get in, but the gates were open, we were able to look out across the sea and back to the city, check out the church and the museum (with its grisly display of the man in the iron cage). A short stop in a seaside town while we waited for the ferry to the Aeolian islands.

“Interesting, even though you can't enter the castle”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

If you are interested in a little history, a short visit to this castle is recommended. There is a small museum, inside the church, short artifacts mostly from the English period, but also, interestingly, a torture chamber (with a skeleton inside). There is an additional museum with a video presentation, and beautiful views over the Milazzo peninsula.
