“great restaurant, great service”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

the food was great and also, we had a problem with our hotel for that night and didn't have a local phone. the owner helped us so kindly and even gave us his cellphone to search the hotel's number.

worth a visit!!

“Amazing local Tuna!”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Very well located with a beautiful surrounding. Great atmosphere, also to have some drinks.

But what is most important, the food! They had a small but very good selection of local dishes. for starters fantastic sicilian apetizers (all of them vege, very special not only for vegetarians).

Ask the waiter about the manu of the day. we had great opportunity to try local tuna fish, which was just perfect!!! medium, grilled, with big slices of parmezan on ruccola and cherry tomatoes.

Totally recommended!!!

“Not just a meal but an experience too.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

I loved this place; not only is this restaurant superbly situated, but the food was delicious and prepared with attention to detail. We ate as a family, uptairs in a wonderfully positioned table over-looking Milazzo. The waitress talked through all of the options on the menu, including variations on dishes that we could choose for our small children. The food was well-presented and `moorish', I really felt like we were experiencing the real Sicily. The restaurant itself is buzzing; great music, great vibe and with a fantastic hostess that I heard speak in 3 different languages over the course of the eevning. Would recommend Pachamama to anyone; couples, familes, foodies.

“Best Meal We Had in Sicily. Must Eat Here if in Milazzo”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Pachamama took us some time to find, but I'm so glad we did, because this place was so worth it. It's a hidden gem and a local favourite - we were lucky to get there right around 9 p.m. (dinner time), as a few minutes later, the place filled out with locals (groups and couples), looking for seats. There aren't many seats on the street-level terrace, but there is also a balcony upstairs, and some seats inside. We were there on a Saturday evening, and it was particularily busy, however, this made the experience all the better because it gave us a chance to witness the local night life. The restaurant is located on one of the smaller streets around the entrance to the Old Town, so the location is nice to people watch as well.
The servers were very nice, and explained all our dishes to us before we started eating. I would highly recommend the Sicilian platter for a starter - it was mostly eggplant based - eggplant parmignana, stuffed eggplant, eggplant saute...and even though we are not the biggest fans of eggplants, each thing was beyond delicious. The stuffed eggplant was one of these baby eggplants that are sold everywhere but we rarely see in Canada. And the flavour was so much meatier and creamier than I can ever get my eggplants to taste at home.
Then, creme de la creme of our meal - ravioli stuffed with ricotta and walnuts, topped with pistachio cream. This was by far, the best dish on our trip, and we ate at many nice restaurants. The pasta was perfect al-dente, the ricotta wasn't overpowered by the walnuts - it was a nice creamy combination, and then the pistachio cream was out of this world. Such a great combination. Pistachios seem to be abundant in Sicily, as we've seen pistachios on many dishes.
The last dish we ordered was the seafood couscous. We debated about this, because couscous is so easy to prepare at home, but we also didn't want to leave Sicily without having tried couscous, as it's one of the local specialties. I'm so glad we did, because it was the best couscous we've had. It was so fluffy and flaky almost, perfectly seasoned..it just melted in your mouth. There was plenty of shrimp and clams accompanying it - definitely big enough for sharing.
After this, we didn't have space for dessert, but there were some interesting choices.
This place seems to also have live music on some nights, so it may be worth checking out the schedule on their website. I would definitely advise making a reservation, especially if it's on a Saturday night, and make sure to sit outside, as it seems that this is where all the action is.
The service was good, albeit a bit slow towards the end of the evening, but at the same time, the place got super busy, so this is understandable.
If you are in Milazzo (we were here only for one evening to catch an early morning ferry to Stromboli, and I'm so glad we ate here) - don't miss this place - you won't regret it.

“Find this place!! You won't regret it!!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Ventured out looking for this place following reviews on tripadvisor, and wasn't dissapointed.
The food was all round excellent, and portions were big. We had the risotto and cous cous dishes to start, and the swordfish roll and veal for seconds. All cooked very well and delicious!! We had no room for dessert though!
Service was a tad slow, but restaurant was full so really cant complain.
At the end we were offered some complementary liquors which were also good.
