“Very nice option for Venice”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

We stayed here one night in early September. Nice, new hotel. Room spotless and we had beautiful room with one full bath and a second powder room. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful, especially Jonathan. Hotel is right on bus route to take you into heart of Venice. Front desk sells bus tickets and made nice recommendations for dining options. Breakfast was ok, typical European buffet - certainly enough to choose from. Only complaint was a loud pool party outside our room which lasted until 2300. We were exhausted from long day of driving and that made it hard to relax. Bed was very nice. Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was well placed. The staff on reception were very helpful and have maps/details of all the public transport and you can purchase bus and water bus tickets from them. The hotel was clean and the room we had (418) was large with King Size bed which you can adjust the firmness per side and a range of 8 different pillows. There was a large bathroom too and we had views of the mountains. There is a pool which we did not use but it was clean and lit up at night. There is free wifi. The breakfast has a good range of food and the staff were ok. There does not appear to be much around the hotel although we walked 5 mins down the road and found a bar/restaurant.We flew Ryanair into Trevisio and caught a public shuttle bus to Mestre train station for 7 euros. You can stay on the bus and go straight to Venice and then catch the 5 or 19 back to via Orlando where the hotel is. These buses are very frequent 8 times an hour and the 5 runs until 24:40 as it appears on the timetable. From Mestre train station you can catch a bus but we opted for a taxi to the hotel at a cost of 20 euros. The hotel provide a shuttle service to/from the Mestre station for 12 euros and this needs to be booked.
The hotel is well placed for accessing Venice using buses 5 or 19 as stated earlier. The bus stops are right outside the hotel and they all terminate at the place de roma. We would definitely stay in this hotel again as the hotels on Venice could be a bit hit and miss, plus you have to find it - unless you like a challenge after a flight.

Wonderful experience. Was on vacation from AZ. You'll find this hotel to be 5 minutes from Venice and the bus stop is right in front of the Hotel. Bus runs every 10 minutes, probably, until very late. Perfect location if you did not want to be right in Venice. New Hotel. Six minutes from train station. Catch bus or cab. Both are convenient. Don't pay over $20 to cab which is fastest method. Fresh-Clean amazing hotel. Great service. Full service restaurant. Full service bar. Hard working staff that seems to be well trained in hotel service and systems. Bar area and pool area are great. Only one washer and dryer for guests. Coming from USA, our body clock was off, but have no fear, there is always someone at the front desk. More like a Hilton stay than Garden Inn. Big Breakfast - Sleep nice - you will.

there was no where to really go and sit and relax with friends at 11pm. everything was closed and if you wanted to get a bottle of wine you had to pay 13euro for a small half bottle from a self serve room beside the reception. the bed was comfortable, but the rooms are very contemporary and sterile. the pool, although i did not go in, was huge and i was told by a friend that it was chilly but comfortable to do lap swims. i missed the breakfast so cannot comment, but it was included in the price. we paid 175euros for the night. the shuttle to the airport was an additional, i think 9 or 12 euro. there is a place to catch a bus right out front of the hotel, and it will take you into venice. each way is 1.30euro. from there you can take a water taxi for 7euro, 14euro return. we purchased a 12hr pass for 18euro as it included unlimited water taxis as well as the return trip for the buses. as a result, we were able to reach marco polo square and from there hopped onto a water taxi to Lido, Burrano, Murano and then back to Venice proper. it was very relaxing and allowed us to see the sites on the water economically. when we arrived in murano, they had rolled up the sidewalks... it was 630pm when we got there and it was deserted... there were a couple of stores open and if you like murano glass, this seems to be the best place to get it for a good price.

Room Tip: choose the 18euro 12hr ticket when getting into venice. even if you do a day trip, it's worth t...

We stayed here as stop 4 on a road trip for 3 nights. Access to the hotel is straight off the main road and you have access to a large underground car park. The staff on reception couldn't be more helpful providing information on Venice buses and water buses (In perfect English) and then having a supply of tickets behind the counter. The room was large, clean and the air con cool and quiet, the hotel also has a large pool you can use. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which goes straight to Venice every 10 minutes and takes 15 minutes. On the way back the bus stops on the other side of the road outside the hotel and you have a bridge to cross the busy road. Breakfast was great with a huge selection of things to choose from.

The only negative for us which stops a 5 Star review is the restaurant (for evening meals), the staff are great but the food is very average. Venice is not a cheap place so the Hotel doesn’t have to be cheap but the food needs to improve for the price. At least it doesn’t have the grief and hidden charges of a Venice Restaurant (Cover Charges, Service Charge etc etc).
