Stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend visiting Venice and we're so glad we did! 4* hotel but all things considered it felt more like 5*! New hotel with all modern amenities. Super clean, room had complimentary tea/coffee/water (still & sparkling) and the AC was so good to come home to after a long day out n about!

Breakfast was tasty. Buffet style offering cereal, fresh fruit selection, pastries, eggs, sausages, breads, toast etc (€13 per person).

Buses 5 & 19 take you straight into Venice from right outside! Only 10min ride! Plus, 15-20 mins from Marco Polo Airport. bus costs just €1.30 each way but to get the most out of Venice, best to book at least 4 days in advance (minimum time required for advanced booking) for 24, 36 or 72hr water bus/land bus card at Venice connected.com. Single trips cost up to €7 each way!! Tkts. An be collected from booths located at the airport or in town! We got 72hr vaporettoarte de l'arte tkt too but if had to do it again wouldn't bother with the de l'arte tkt as bus comes only every half hr and you just wanna get from A to B quickly, therefore, water buses more than suffice! Make sure you take water 1 or 2 to Lido.... Beach is amazing!

All in all, staying in at this hotel means no lumbering heavy suitcases up and down stairs, off and on water buses. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

We stayed for 1 night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Venice MESTRE. The hotel was brand new and was very comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable that we have ever slept in and the room was air conditioned which was great as it was 30c outside. The hotel is a 10 minute bus journey from Piazza Roma which is the gateway to Venice itself. From there you can walk over the new Calatrava bridge and get right into the centre of Venice or take the Vaporetto to St. Marks Square. The hotel has a lovely pool which was great to use on a hot day. There is a snack shop which is open 24 hours and a business centre of sorts with a very slow internet and no printing paper. The gym was also good and opened with your key card. There was a restaurant which was also where we had a nice buffet breakfast the next morning. The staff were all helpful and polite. A good tip is to buy your Venice day card or bus tickets at reception as they are cheaper then. There are buses to Venice right outside the hotel which run every 15 mins during the day and every 30 minutes at night time. The hotel has lifts and is accessible for everyone. There was also free underground parking which was great as we travelled by car.
On word of caution - there was a free disco pool party going on at the hotel the night we stayed and it was techno music until 11pm blaring which could be heard from most of the rooms facing the pool. This was an issue as our 3 year old could not get to sleep easily. Also there is nothing around the hotel at all in the line of shops or restaurants. The location is right on the side of a motorway from the airport into town so dont expect to eat anywhere else in the area. The price was good though and overall we had a good stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor and for a quiet night away from the pool in case of discos etc

Beautifully decorated, nice staff, would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view of the pool.

We stayed here for 3 nights in early July in a twin room with breakfast.
I can highly recommend this hotel and would gladly go back again, when we landed at marco polo airport, we got our 72 hour bus and river boat pass and got the number 5 bus to the hotel, this took 15 minutes to get to the hotel, when we arrived it was 10am so thought we would not have our room available but to our surprise they did and we were more than happy. To get to Venice centre you get either the bus number 5 or 19 and it only takes 10 minutes getting there which is another plus.
the buffet breakfast on offer is more than adequate and a good selection of food available, there is also a good size swimming pool. I would recommend people not going in july because of the heat, when you are walking around in 90f weather it is sometimes unbearable so going at a different time of year would be my advice, other than that i loved Venice and would gladly come back again.

I stayed here for 2 nights in June. It was a great hotel. Nice rooms, very friendly staff, easy access to Venice proper.

Cost about 20 Euro to take a taxi from the Mestre train station to the hotel. Got a day pass for the bus/vaporetto to get into and around Venice - about 18 Euro. Well worth it to be able to hop on any mode of transport. The bus stops right outside the hotel at the edge of the driveway. Very easy! Simple to get into Venice and back. I booked the hotel shuttle for 12 Euro to get back to the Mestre train station.

The biggest drawback I found (and partly because of timing and lack of exploration) was the lack of super close stores/markets to stock the room's fridge. There were a few gas stations nearby that might have worked but I was there on a Sunday and they were closed when I returned to the hotel. HGI's have the 24 hour pantry, but except for drinks and chips I didn't find much that I wanted. Maybe get stuff from the station or stock up while on Venice island.

Definitely a great alternative to the expensive rooms on Venice itself.
