We spent 5 nights here while exploring Venice. Here is a quick summary:

* - Location is great for visiting Venice. When we arrived at the Venice airport, we bought a 7 day transportation card at the airport. We used it for the bus to the hotel, the bus into Venice daily (the bus stop is just outside the hotel), and for the water transportation in Venice. We never used the train into Venice, although the station is close by.

* - Location again, can't stress that enough. After watching people taking their luggage through the streets of Venice trying to get to their hotel, we are so happy to have stayed at the location of this hotel.

* - The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

* - The breakfast was really good, the same items every day but a good way to start the day. The coffee is not self-serve so we made sure to always ask for the large pot of coffee for the 2 of us to split.

* - The only downside was the comfort of the bed, it was too hard. I used a couple of extra blankets that were in the room to put on top of the bed which made it much more comfortable.

Pros:
DISTANCE: From the train station it is about 30 sec walk. The train from MESTRE will bring you directly to Venice island in about 10 min for about 1 euro. And you can take the bus at the train station to go to the Marco Polo Airport (20 to 25 min bus ride for 6 euros).
Tickets for transportation are sold at the front desk, which is convenient.

BREAKFAST: very good and a bit adapted to american style, (you order your coffee to the waiter with a manual machine).

BUSINESS CHAIN OR REGULAR OWNER: You do feel like a business chain. Everybody speak English fluently, a bit of French and Spanish.

ROOMS: Greta size room, clean, bed comfortable, smell good in the place, AC working pretty well, and the decoration is brand new.

BATHROOM: All furnished, first time that we see a bath in a hotel from all the trip (11 days), biggest bathroom of the trip, speakers in the bathroom.
Reservation online without any problem.
CAR PARKING: N/A

Cons:
NOISE: if you are, if my memory is great, from the room 110 to 125 you are on the street side (we were in room 118)… poor you, the noise of the cars and the trucks outside are going to be your enemy for the rest of your night.

This was a great place to stay while on vacation in Venice, Italy. It's an old hotel that's been totally renovated in a modern fashion. The property is actually on main land Mestre, Italy so the rates are much better than staying right in Venice. It's just a 10 minute train ride into Venice and the train station is right across the street from the hotel. Was concerned that we would be hearing trains all night, I'm happy to say you can't hear them. Also, the size of the rooms are larger than the one we stayed in vacationing in Rome.

My husband and I had a good experience here. Our flight got in around 9 am. Our room was not ready, they checked our bags and we proceeded to walk around Mestre. We returned to the hotel around noon and our room was ready. I am a very light sleeper and I did not hear any noise from trains or traffic. The staff was very helpful when purchasing train tickets to Venice, 2 euros for a round trip per person. The breakfast was good.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and booked it as a "secret hotel" initially. The hotel is situated opposite the main Train Station so the location is perfect. The Airport bus stop is also round the corner so very accessible.

The hotel is large, very clean with a very good layout. My son & I arrived about an hour before check in and within 30 minutes we were given an upgrade in the new wing! The bedroom was very spacious and the layout very good with wooden flooring. The bed was very comfortable and large. There was a selection of Teas and Coffee in the room and we actually had some English channels on the TV! The bathroom was spacious, very clean, had a powerful shower and very nice toiletries were provided with large fluffy towels as well. Breakfast was served on the ground floor in the restaurant and there was a selection of hot and cold food - Croissants, Bread Rolls, Boiled and Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Cheese, Ham, Pastries, Fruit, Juices, Beverages etc. You name it, they have it! I was very impressed with the restaurant staff especially Christiana, who remembered what my son & I ordered from day one and promptly brought us Tea & Hot Chocolate over the 4 mornings that we used the restaurant.

The reception staff too were very friendly and issued maps and advice to guests. You can even purchase your train tickets to Venice at the hotel (1 Euro 20 cents each way for the 7-minute journey) which would save you the time that you would have wasted in a queue at the train station. The lounge too is very spacious and had comfortable chairs. They even have a book section where you can leave books or borrow from if you run out of things to do. The décor throughout the hotel is very good as well. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Venice and would recommend it to friends and family.

I have stayed in this hotel with my family, the room was really good, and As I have two kids, it was real value to have good space in the room. The overall setup of the room is excellent and convenient. And the staff was reasonably helpful.
The hotel location has positive and negative parts, the positive part is that it’s very near to the train station, and it has very close bus transportation near it (Bus number 2 to get to PZ Roma then to pPZ san marko by vaporetto
Different types of bus tickets are available at the reception, my advice is to buy time limited ticket for the period of the stay as you will be using the bus a lot to get to and from Venice.
The negative side of the location is that it’s really far from main Venice attraction and Venice touristic center (pz San marko) it take around 30 minutes with bus to get there and the bus is really crowded, especially when you are back at night you may have to wait for the bud for more than 15 minutes and when it comes it’s over crowded. I wonder why they are not reducing the frequency of the buses or use the bigger buses as it seems to be very busy route.
The breakfast was very good with good quality and good service.
As conclusion, I recommend this hotel as base for exploring Venice, it’s really convenient.

stayed here as a couple for a week in Sept 2012. Reasonably convenient for Venice by bus but better by train and a very good base for exploring the Veneto by train as the stattion is across the road. The decor is freshly done mostly in muted tones. Room and bathroom very good. The main restaurant is rather dull and expensive, Meals in the cafe and bar are much better. The reception staff are very helpful, most speak very good English. Bar staff are friendly.Happy to stay there again. Lots of good eating places and gelateria close by. Bus to and from the Marco Polo airport at the far end of the station approach ..good.

Room Tip: at the back of the hotel away from the station and bus routes.
