The hotel is close to Marco Polo airport and a hotel shuttle fetched us. Rooms are spacious. We had a lovely view. There is a lovely cheap pizza place close by and gelateria. We caught the bus to Vale centre (shopping centre) close by and hotel staff were very helpful assisting us. Great stay would definitely recommend.

Great location as it is just a couple blocks from the bus stop that will take you to main Venice; however, I have never encountered such rude hotel staff in my life, especially in Italy. Not only were they rude to me and my family, but I frequently witnessed staff being rude to others. Their bus pass system was not working, which is not a problem, but they failed to provide information on how to purchase them elsewhere. When I asked for additional information, they appeared to be annoyed by any questions asked. When we left, they failed to call a taxi for us after I asked twice and then when they did, they called a service that was not "legitimate" in Italy and we were stuck with a 35 euro taxi ride to go 5 minutes to the airport. It was clearly done to rip us off. The rooms were nice and clean, but there are plenty of hotels out there, especially in Italy, with warm and welcoming staff that this should not be tolerated!

We have stayed at the Antony Hotel four times. It is convenient for Marco Polo airport and to go into Venice by local bus or the hotel shuttle. The staff is most pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious by Italian standards and very clean. The rooms have a blackout blind which helps with sleeping after time changes. The breakfast is wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The top floors on the east side have a good view of Venice. One can see the cruise ships in port and the monuments in Piazza San Marco.

My wife and I stayed here two nights on a Trafalgar tour (Jewels of Italy) in June 2014. The hotel was the most modern of the 3 we stayed at on the trip (Rome, Florence, Venice).

It was located about a 10 minute drive on the mainland to the docks where we would take water taxis into Venice proper. The ride in was typically quick and easy and then the taxi ride up the canal was 15 minutes. The boats could only go about 7 km/h so the ride was slow but easy.

We warned that the hotel taxis could be expensive but since it was part of tour I don't have a price to post.

From the outside, the hotel does not look like anything special. But when you get inside things changed.

As for the hotel, the room was very spacious. It had two double beds in it and one double was more than enough room for the two of us. The room had a giant mirror spanning the length of it, a modern Samsung TV with a good selection of channels. It had a fridge but since the power is dependent on your room key being placed in a slot when you walk in, it is mostly useless.

The bathroom was very clean and so was the room. To get in the room, you scanned your room key on the outside of the door and it would open. Our room key became desensitized when it was in our wallet and it had to be reprogrammed.

Another big advantage for us was the WiFi was available and strong in the rooms and not just the lobby. Shower head was amazing. It was like a waterfall.

Our tour was big on beer drinking and the bartender probably didn't have a group that drank as much as us. He was a bit coarse at first but also more friendly as we went on. I'd say he was on par with typical Italian service we got. Beer was 4 Euro at the bar.

Breakfast was typical. Dinner was better than our hotel in Florence (Villa Stanley in Sesto Fiorentino) but still pretty average.

Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was great! Front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Room was very clean and modern. Good selection for breakfast. Really good pizza place just down the street. A must try, open late. Bus to Venice 5 minute walk buy ticket at reception. Shuttle bus driver drove way too fast.
