Prior to departing on your recent cruise we decided to spend an extra night in Venice. We opted to stay outside of Venice and avid the maze of lane ways and canals. We are pleased that we did. The Antony is conveniently located a five minute walk form the bus stop that will take you into Venice. This is a 15 minute bus ride. Bus tickets can be purchased from the main desk. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are adequate. We were two couples sharing a room for one night and we made out very well. There are several local restaurants nearby with very good food. There is a free shuttle to the cruise ships which proved to be very convenient when you see tourists hauling there suitcases over the cobblestones for Venice. Good layover spot and would definitely book there again.

Stayed overnight at the Antony hotel on 3 January,2014. WE found it the perfect location near the airport but with a 20 minute bus ride into Venice proper. It was very god value for money. The counter staff were very helpful by providing the tickets at a minimal charge for the bus and giving directions to get to and from the city.
The hotel was very clean and modern inside. Our room was a family room and it was a little cramped, but for overnight it was perfect. The otel is perfectly located for a quick and simple commute to the city.
The provided breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and more than you could eat.
I think the value was excellent.

I had just an overnight stay with my parents before boarding Royal Princess. It was a very nice hotel for the price we paid: modern furnishing and spacious room, great breakfast, good location (half-way between Marco Polo Airport and the cruise terminal). One thing that the hotel can improve is that everywhere is too white, from ceiling to carpet, from room to common area, which gave us a very cold and odd feeling. Consider adding some wall decors to tone down a little bit and bring a warmer, home feeling to customers.

Dear LovelyPri,

We are extremely thankful for your review, we loved reading your opinions and suggestions and we will for sure consider adding some decor to our rooms and common areas. They have just been renovated so we are still trying to make it perfect and our clients suggestions help us a lot with this! We hope you will consider booking our hotel again on your next trip to Venice.

My Husband and I wanted to go to the Maldives for our honeymoon, but decided to go next year, so we can save up. My sister kindly bought us a mini-moon for us. We stayed at Antony Hotel in September 2013. I was really pleased with the Hotel - It is around 25 mins away from Venice. We booked a room facing Venice - You can see Venice in the distance and a lovely vineyard.

We opted for half-board, we had breakfast and headed out to Venice, came back and had dinner, which worked well if you are on a tight budget. Although this may suit some people, there were occasions where we just ordered from the main menu and paid extra. Set menu is not always the best.

The rooms are reasonable - always clean and the decor is up to date. The bed was large and very comfortable. Large rain shower!

The hotel is 35 mins from Venice - we took the bus locally, which cost us no more then £4 return.(Remember to buy bus tickets from reception before you leave) You cannot pay on the bus.

Venice has to be one of my best holidays - very romantic and the food is great!

Dear Customer

thank you for choosing our hotel for your mini-moon and of course many thanks to your sister too! lol
We are glad you had a good stay and liked our room and our restaurant service. The hotel is actually 10/15 minutes from Venice city centre, even tho we know that sometimes the bus journey might seem longer because the bus stops a few times on the track.
We wish you a lot of love for your marriage, a great 2014 and we hope to see you again on your next trip to Venice!

The hotel is a little tired and needs a good spring clean!
Our room was good - not great - spacious by Europe standards - but very modestly furnished - just the bare essentials!
We booked to stay out of Venice waterways and this was a fine location for bus routes and getting into Venice.
For the quality, the price was about 20% more than we should have paid.
The only real good thing - the free internet was super fast and always available - big tick for that!!

Room Tip: Look for a high room facing Venice city - 6th floor!

Dear Gordon

thanks for your short but very punctual review. We are glad you overall experience at our hotel was good. We are sorry if you didn't like the style of our renovated rooms which tends to be a little minimal but with high quality materials and design. The price depends on the travelling period and the booking period as well, during low season we have very special deals at really affordable price too. Thanks for appreciating our service and also the quality of our wi-fi internet connection.

Kind Regards
have a wonderful 2014

We stayed at the Antony Hotel for two days on a pre-cruise package and were very pleased we found this hotel. We did some online research before booking, but even then we found the Antony much more than we hoped or expected. We were picked up at the airport as promised and when we came to check in at the hotel, we were offered an upgrade on our room without even asking. The hotel is quite close to the airport but there is no aircraft noise. We found that during our stay, the staff were efficient, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The room was clean, bright and spacious. Breakfast was included in the tariff and was more than adequate in selection of choice and quality. We have paid a lot more for a lot less in other parts of the world. The hotel shuttle bus service into and out of Venice was really convenient as well. Other travellers have commented on seeing people in Venice itself struggling with small wheel suitcases over uneven cobblestones and over canal bridges with map in hand, tired and bewildered trying to find their accommodation, and that really is the case because we saw it as well. Not so with the Antony. Much better, we think, to avoid all that. On the day of checkout, everything went smoothly and the hotel bus took us right to the cruise terminal. No need to struggle with luggage or take the peoplemover train. Final comment... we are going back to Venice again next year for a different cruise and will have no hesitation in booking the Antony again.

Room Tip: As mentioned previously we were offered a room on the 6th. floor overlooking the lagoon to Venice. V...
