Nice hotel, adequate but small rooms. Helpful staff, great breakfast, choice of coffee.
The location could'nt be better, just in front of a bus stop and the train station to Venice.
The car rentals are located in the train station.

Restaurants around the hotel are ok, nothing special, otherwise stay in Venice for dinner. The bus runs late at night every 20 minutes.

Highly recommended!

Hotel Tritone is a good option if you are looking to stay near Venice and not pay the hotel prices in Venice. If you fly in to Marco polo airport, take the Fly Bus to Mestre station (3 Euro). The hotel is just across the street from the train and bus station it's an easy commute to Venice by bus. (1.10 euro) You can buy the vaporetto (water taxi) tickets on line at veniceconnected.com , usually for a little discount. The hotel is clean, the beds comfortable, neat and the breakfast was good. A full breakfast buffet. Hot and cold items. The staff was friendly, they recommend a local restaurant Da Bepi Venesian, the food was excellent, fresh and it's a family owned restaurant. Very reasonably priced. good seafood and pasta. would stay again.

My husband and 4 other friends stayed at the Hotel Tritone on Sept. 16 and 17. We had decided on this hotel when making our plans for our trip to Italy after many hours looking on Trip Advisor. It had many great reviews. Becuase of our early flight out of Marco Polo Airport on our departing day, it made sense to stay on the Mainland and not the island of Venice itself. The location was great-right across from the train station in Mestre. There were other hotels right on the same block also. We are so glad we stayed at Hotel Tritone-as it is very clean, nice bathrooms with good hot water and showers, comfortable beds and soft pillows, helpful staff, and a good breakfast. Our choice was wise because when we arrived in this area, it was pouring down rain. We could not imagine having to lug our luggage to a hotel on the island of Venice.
We purchased a bus/ water taxi combination pass at the shop right adjacent to the hotel that was very reasonable for our visits to venice- unlimited bus rides and water taxi taxi connections along the Grand Canal that got us to the main Venice sights within 1/2 hour taking the bus first then the water taxi. We went in the rain the first day we got to this area-not as pleasant as when the sun is out. We saw travelers trying to manage their luggage in the rain on Venice so we were happy for our arrangement in Mestre and the Hotel Tritone.
Another reason we stayed there was because of visiting family in Padua. We took a late afternoon to Padua to visit them for dinner and then they brought us back to our hotel- was about a 20 minute train ride and 30 min. by car. It was easy for them to drop us off right there at the hotel. We went over to another hotel that night and had a late night cocktail in their bar.
Hotel Tritone didn't have a resturant . except for their breakfast service, however there is a restaurant right in the same block for lunch and we walked downt the side street 2 blocks and discovered the ones the hotel recommended for dinner on our last night. Mestre is not a touristy area however it seems like an normal life city as we have here in America- it just makes sense to stay in this area for the price and location. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

My family agreed that this hotel was the best we encountered on our 3 week vacation to Italy and Greece. The location is close to rail and bus stations making sightseeing pleasurable, the price was competitive, and the staff outstanding. Staff help with any questions, and one problem (safe needed a battery) was fixed within minutes, Breakfast was very nice and served with courtesy and care. Great hotel in a beautiful city

After a long day/night of travel, we arrived in Venice and took the bus from Marco Polo airport...we were trying to be a bit more adventurous and opt for this rather than a private taxi. What a treat to see we arrived right across the street from the hotel! What a wonderful start to our 20th anniversary! What a beautiful room!! The concierge was great, offering us info on a local restaurant just around the corner. We ran into a bit of a challenge - our window didn't lock - being from San Francisco we were reluctant to leave our room on our first night without that security - but the hotel sent someone right up and they were able to get it fixed within a few minutes...they were terrific! We were only there for one night but we'd definitely go back in a heartbeat! What a treat - what a beginning - what a wonderful memory!!! Thank you Hotel Tritone Mestre!

This hotel is located a bus ride away(#2 bus) from Piazza di Roma and the vaporettos which take you all over Venice. If you buy a pass, you can ride around unlimited including to and from the hotel for finite period of time. The hotel was a delightful surprise. A generous breakfast buffet is included in the price. If you leave too early for breakfast, they will pack you a boxed breakfast. The room was spacious and meticulously clean. Nice clean bathroom with a bidet and a shower. There is a huge price difference between this hotel and the ones on the Venetian canal. Of course, you don't have the ambiance that you would have on the canals, but was not worth the huge price difference to me. This hotel is also conveniently located near the train station in Mestre.
