After having read previous reviews I selected this hotel with my daughter as a easier location to Venice itself without hauling luggage all around Venice.

We arrived on April 29th and checked out May 1 2013 and were greeted Marika who went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information on how to get to Venice and the cost of getting there.
Marika would greet us each day and ask if all was well.

The room itself was small but served the purpose.

The morning breakfast that was included had many options such as Yogurt scrambled eggs fruit, toast to name a few.

There appears to only be one restaurant in the area now as the others are closed. The Hotel restaurant was not open in the evening even though all the information says it would be.

One should eat in Venice before arriving back in the evening or face the Cafe or McDonald's as your dining options.

The rooms tend to be a bit on the warm side with no a/c.

Also be warned the "lift"is a tad bit on the small side.

We didn't spent much time in the hotel because we were taking the train into Venice daily, but the hotel was really comfortable and nice. We actually stayed in May 2012, I apologize for not writing the review sooner. The price was great and the rooms were comfortable and large and in a Venetian style. We stayed in two double rooms. The location is very convenient, across from the train station. There is easy parking in a large parking lot next door. This is the most affordable way to see Venice while staying in a nice hotel.

The train is convenient but can be late at times. And make sure not to miss the last one if you stay in Venice for supper.

Hotel location is great - right across the street from the train station. Train into Venice only takes 20 min and 1.20Euros. Definitely worth the stay to save some money and also to save the hassel of carrying your luggage around in Venice. Hotel rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is variable and free coffee beverages are offered. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived by bus from the airport. There was some construction around the bus station, so it was not so easy to see the hotel, despite the fact it was only a half block away. For those arriving not long after us, walk around the bus stop on the right in the direction of the train station. The Hotel Tritine is behind the Plaza Hotel on the opposite side of the road. The neighborhood is working class, but I felt safe. All the amenities are just a few steps away. We found an ATM , great restaurants and cheap souvenirs right down the street. Go into the convenience store to buy a land bus ticket to P . Roma. It is only 1.5 euro and you will be at the starting point for all the Venice water buses. The staff at the Hotel is its best selling point. They are terrific! When you are jet lagged, their patience is a blessing. The rooms are clean and comfortable . Although some reviews mention not enough hot water, we did not find this to be a problem. My only suggestion is that they improve the pillows- but I found this to be true all over Venice. Breakfast buffet is excellent and well presented with a very attentive room attendant. The Internet connection worked well but had to be reconnected every few hours . There were very nice computers available for use in the lobby and a much much appreciated printer! Book early on the Internet and get a discount price for two or more nights at this very nice hotel. A hint about local places . Soul Food is excellent- with huge portions. Restaurant Moro is romantic and charming but more expensive-still a bargain for Venice. The best galato in Venise is at Gelateria Chocolat which is only a few blocks away. I would return to this area if I were coming for more than two days as the price and value are outstanding for Venice.

Room Tip: Stay on the first floor so you can easly use the stairs and do not need to wait for the elevator.

tThe hotel was great , everything you need . breakfast was great , had everything you would want , eggs bacon ham cheese bread even sweet breads was great ! the hotel was across the road from the train station, which you need to get to venice .staff were very helpful. The area surrounding the hotel is a bit rough with a lot of dodgy types just outside the hotel. You can also catch a bus to both airports from the left of the train station.

The hotel itself is quite nice with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and the beds were good enough. The bathroom was nice with a full sized tub/shower. The breakfast was FANTASTIC and we looked forward to it for the three days we were there. The area surrounding the hotel is a bit rough with a lot of vagrant types just outside the hotel. There is a very large parking garage next door door to the hotel that is only 14€ a day which is less than half the normal rate. The trains and buses to Venice are directly across the streeUtah we ut we didn't hear them much from our second floor room.

Room Tip: Great base to visit Venice from and the hotel itself is comfortable and nice.

The area is not really a nice area to be in but convienient for the train station as it is opposit.
If your travelling to Venice then again 25€ will get you there but parking is poor in this area.
If you are coming from he airport forget a taxi take the bus runs every 30 mins and is only 6€ and well worth it for the 20minute ride. You have to buy the ticket from inside just ask at the information.
Sometimes I read these reviews and wonder if I stayed in the same hotel.
The staff were very helpful and I asked to be moved out of a smoking room and they put me in a fairly nice room on the 7th floor.
It is classified as a 4 star which I booked through last minute as a secrete hotel which was a mistake. I would think a 3 star would be a fair rating
It's ok for one or two nights the breakfast is good and again the staff are helpful but if I had a choice I would have picked the Best Western next door or the Plaza.
