“Excellent value east access to Venice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

We had a lot of luggage and a car so Venice was out of the question. This hotel was such good value and in an very good position. The car park is next door and the hotel does a deal for patrons at a very reasonable cost. The Venice bus leaves and returns virtually to the doorstep or take the train from across the road if you prefer. The room was a good size, quiet, very clean and the included breakfast was very good. Travellers who describe this area as seedy give the wrong impression. It is near a station and yes there is a lot of coming and going on the streets as you would expect as travellers move around and yes the buildings and street look a bit tired but so does Venice. I walked around at night and did not find anything threatening. There are good restaurants nearby particularly if you like Asian food. If staying more than 1 day make sure you get a bus and water bus pass for Venice from the station. Hotel staff will tell you how to do this. Their English is excellent. For those who are desperate for an automatic laundry as we were there is one in easy walking distance. Hotel staff will tell you where. This hotel is a good stay. 10 mins by bus to the waterbus in Venice.

Room Tip: Rooms are quiet with windows closed and were still quiet when we needed to open the windows to provi...

So convenient to stay here. The bus to Venice pulls up just across the street for a short ride to the great city. Our bus to the train in Villach Austria pulled up just outside our door. Room was entirely adequate, clean and well serviced. The breakfast was astounding. It was a full fledged brunch with tremendous selection, and I didn't have to drink espresso! American coffee, the real thing. The folks helping at breakfast were super nice and helpful. The computer downstairs wasn't easy to deal with, didn't accomodate English, but that was minor really. Room was set too hot but the desk adjusted it remotely and we cracked a window, no worries. Didn't go out in the evening so can't comment on that. Altogether satisfied.

Not 4 star standard. Hotel in rather a seedy area. The hotel does not serve an evening meal. Difficult to find a meal in the area. The bar is open at the convenience of the staff. The rooms were very hot with no way of controlling the temperature.

Room Tip: Stick to the lower floors

Hotel Tritone is an excellent hotel for touring Venice and being close to the airport. The family room was large, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. The staff was professional and they spoke excellent English. Breakfast was good and filling. It is very easy to get to Venice by train. The area around the hotel is not pleasant, but I never felt uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Use the hotel shuttle for transport to airport. The shuttle was on time for our early am departure a...

I was really thinking about whether to give 4 or 5 stars as you can always find some flaws (e.g. my mom’s room on the ground floor was quite cold, mine on the fifth was too hot and it was impossible to set the AC, or water temperature was not always pleasantly warm...). All in all, our stay was so pleasant that I must give full points. The staffs were extremely pleasant and helpful, breakfast very nice (especially freshly brewed coffee and great variety of delicious cakes) and another nice thing was a coffee maker, water and croissants, which were available in the lobby all day long. We also used the hotel’s car service from and to the airport, which was convenient and cheap. Connection with Venice itself (bus, train) is also perfect and really frequent. I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation.

This hotel is a two minute walk from the train station so if your carrying your luggage it's perfect. The hotel is very up-to-date with excellent Wi-Fi and a fantastic breakfast with bacon (euopean style so don't be put off by the light color - it's cooked) scrambled eggs, cheese, meats, pastries and fruit. It was th best breakfast in our four hotel stays in Italy. The lobby has coffee, water and croissants all day for your convenience. The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms are also of adequate size with amenities. As stated in other reviews the train is just 1.2 euro and is a quick ride to Venice and just steps away from the vaporetta transporation. You may prefer to eat dinner in Venice but there are some nice restaurants in easy walking distance around the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and will to my nephew who plans to hooneymoon in Venice later this year.

My wife and me we stay 3 nights in this Hotel to visit Venice. It was the best choice, because you are have all transports available from 2 minutes of this Hotel (The bus, the train, the shuttles to the airport, car renting if needed).
You can manage with the hotel to manage a shuttles form the airport directly to the Hotel.
The breakfast was great the coffee is sublime.
The Hotel is clean and the receptionists are very friendly.
The only problem we had was the cold water in the morning. They have a problem when all Clients are in the shower at the same time.
Otherwise everything was ok.

Room Tip: 7 floor with the terrace. Room 714
