Stayed there from 4 nights starting October 19, 2012. The hotel is very well located (across from Mestre train station). Not new, but well-kept. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The breakfast is excellent. The room is quite good, not too small, with good bed and bedding. The bathroom is good, but the shower stall is too small (one of those quarter-cilinder things). The air conditioning is a little bit noisy (without it, the room would be too warm). Car parking is next door but costs 14 EUR per day. On the whole, it was a very pleasant stay.

Tritone is ideally placed in Mestre with the Bus and Railway Station 20 yds across the road. We emailed the hotel and they provided Airport transfers for 5 euro per person each way - it was punctual and comfortable. Reception staff were polite and helpful. The bedroom was of medium size, very comfortable with all required accessories. Breakfast is excellent with a large choice, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Hot drinks are available 24/7 in the reception lounge, but there is no restaurant for lunch or dinner, however, there are several restaurants within a 5 min walk. We liked, in order of preference, Moro, Oriental, and Bepi. Tritone is a value choice of accommodation in an ideal location for visiting Venice. One tip - we would recommend the Venice card for transport which includes bus and boat. This can be bought for 1,2,or 3 days but do not buy it on line as there is no advantage and it was difficult to find a machine to issue our tickets which then would not work on the bus. Much better to buy them at Bar Atlantic - 3 doors down fo the right from the hotel entrance, or anyother outlet near the hotel..

A good place to make as a starting point into Venice, easy access to transportation going to Venice proper. Very near the train station w/ is across the street. Reasonable priced, helpful staff, great breakfast buffet.

We stayed at the Tritone Hotel for an overnight stay prior to our cruise and were very happy with our experience. We found the hotel welcoming and the reception staff friendly and helpful. The lobby was always stocked with coffee and fresh pastries which was a very nice touch. The rooms alhough on the small side were clean and comfortable. All the arrangements we had made for pickup at the airport and transport to the port the next day all ran very smoothly. The driver was waiting at the airport with a card with our name on it. He even waited for us as our flight was delayed. The driver that was arranged to take us to the port the next morning was a pleasure. Breakfast was very nice in their cozy resturant. Food was ample and delicious. Just around the corner from the hotel we found the grocery store where we stocked up on wine/water and coca cola to take onboard the ship. We would stay at this hotel on any return trip to Venice and recommend it highly to anyone wanting a friendly atmosphere in a convenient location across from the train station. Great place for a pre or post cruise stay or any stay in Venice. A very happy experience, Thank you

We spent one night at the hotel prior just after arriving in town and prior to departing on a cruise ship. The rooms were small and simple, but perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also nice.

As we arrived at the hotel, it appeared to be in a "sketchy" part of town, but in truth was just off a main street that wasn't terribly tourist-y, which was a nice option. Bus ride into Venice - with the stop directly across the street - was about 10 minutes.

But the best option was that if you're a jet-lagged traveler, you can take the taxi directly from the airport to the hotel without having to navigate the canals and bridges. And you can also walk across the street to grab a taxi at the train station, which will take you directly to the cruise ship - and this turned out to be a superior option than what was available to my shipmates staying in Venice, who complained about the long walk to the pier.

So while I prefer to stay in Venice for an extended period of time (and that's just a matter of preference), this hotel was a perfectly fine option for "just passing through."
