Recently stayed whilst visiting Venice, which we thought would enable us to relax after a days sight-seeing.The pool was closed, sun chairs stowed away for the winter despite temperatures of 28 degrees. The rooms were clean and modern with beautiful bathrooms. Warning! no hair driers, although reception will lend you one on request. No safe, but when we voiced our concern we were told that we could use the hotel safe! Our first meal in the restaurant was OK, but at breakfast the waiting staff were very rude to guests, gave evil looks if she thought that you had taken too much food( notice on wall telling you with exclamation marks that you could only have one of one item, if you were lucky that they were there) and when she cleared the tables after guest had left, swore under her breath voicing her anger. I am afraid that she really let the hotel down, as otherwise it would have been an average stay.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the side, our room backed on to the farm fields, high hedge prevented view for the delivery vehicles which was noisy one morning,

At first glance this place could be mistaken as a all round good hotel. That is until you pull back the curtain. To me what a great hotel boiles down to is service, cleanliness and getting what you paid for. Here we were led to believe that the outdoor pool would be open until 7pm which would have been great, but unfortunately the pool was closed! There was nothing wrong with the pool, just ouf of season in 32 degree September weather! We solely book this place as we wanted a outdoor pool to relax for a few days while not visiting Venice. We were treated badly by one particular desk clerk after complaining about the pool closure not being as advertised, whom spoke something unrecognised under his breath as we were walking away. The hotel itself was very tidy, you could not moan about the modern rooms and beautifully equipped bathrooms.
My only quip would be about the maid, whom we asked on two separate occasions to leave the windows closed while cleaning as the bugs would fly in. Surprised we were not when we returned each time to find the windows open and bugs everywhere.
The upside is parking, downside it's in the middle of nowhere!

Room Tip: From what I can tell they are all very good, other than the ones parallel to the tennis courts. As they are flood lit until late with people smashing balls back and forth!

My wife and I had a couple of days in Venice in May 2012, prior to returning to Canada after our 23 day cruise. Our stay at this Resort Hotel was a great experience. Staff very helpfull. Bus was a short walk away which took us into the Mestre Business area, and returned us right back to the Hotel. We dined in the attached restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food and service were excellant. Have advised some of our fellow travellers, that if staying in Venice area, this is a great place to stay. Friendly, clean, modern, and a good value for your money. Would stay here again without hesitation. Lorraine and Art Manitoba Canada

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the farm fields very quite and peacefull

The Green garden resort website is a little deceiving (well to me anyway). It shows a gym and spa and nice restaurant. Well...the gym and spa are private and not part of the hotel , the small restaurant is also under separate management. The hotel is also about 40 minutes from Venice using public transport (which is reliable). Taxis's charge too much (approx' 40-50 Euro;'s for a 20 minute ride). The restaurant manager (lady called Rosie…I think) acts just like Basil Faulty’s Twin sister ;-) – Customer service does not exist in her vocabulary. We ordered lunch on the first day as we were a little tired from the travel from the UK .My wife is a vegetarian I clearly stated a vegetarian pasta dish – well this came with meat which we sent back. The breakfast was terrible on the following day - we had to wait 20 minutes for her to serve coffee / tea after we’d finished the very limited options from the Buffett. On the final night our two children had eaten in Venice (good old McDonalds), so we ordered a Veg’ Pizza for two of us this came with ham ...again we sent this back – not even an apology. She also had the nerve to charge a service charge for all four of us. We will NOT stay here again….solely based on the poor quality of service from the restaurant.

On a positive note, the rooms were very clean, reception staff were always happy to help and had good local knowledge and the outdoor pool provided good entertainment for our children.

Venice is only 30 min away by bus ( every 10 to 15 min)
free car park and access to adjacent sports club ( tennis & large pool )
large rooms by european standards and good restaurant
special mention for kindness of personnel ready to help and advice in so many languages ( french , german and english of course)
away from the croud and lots of space for kids to run all around

nice and relaxing environment but you need a precise map or good GPS to find it

Room Tip: all very calm as hotel surrounded by a large garden no street nearby
