Although we stayed at LaPrimavera Hotel in 2008 I MUST tell you it was the absolute HIGHLIGHT of our trip. My husband and I were in Italy with a teenage niece and nephew. We had intended to drive the Almafi Coast beginning in the late afternoon. My husband pulled over and asked directions from a very interesting local man by the name of Tony Espisito. He cautioned us about driving the winding coastal road beginning so late, and besides that we'd miss the spectacular scenery. Tony sent us up the road to LaPrimavera and said to mention that Agnazio sent us. It was the beginning of the most fabulous dining experience we have ever had.

We sat by the windows overlooking the amazing Amalfi coastline. Jay told the owners Claudio and Franco to order for us. We didn't even look at the menu or wine list. What a treat! Mama was in the kitchen. She prepared old family favorites for us. Over the next hour and a half, Franco brought us a generous sampling of various (10) delectable appetizers served of course with a delicious house wine and hard crusted bread. When we didn't think we could eat another morsel, Claudio brought out the main course, whole fish baked under salt. He broke away the salt and served it splendidly with another of the excellent house wines. The ultimate three hour dining experience!

It was so enjoyable we did not want to leave. When Claudio said his establishment was also a hotel it capped the perfect evening. We went upstairs directly from the restaurant. What a gorgeous place! The roooms were beautiful and spotless! We slept heavenly. In the morning I opened the shutters and was thrilled to see kiwi growing within hand's reach.

When we departed Claudio treated us like family. He gave us a complimentary bottles of white and red wine from their vineyard. It was a spectacular experience. Our niece and nephew still talk about it today.

when i think of "La Primavera" my first association is Vivaldi's Four Seasons or Botticelli"s sublime painting.Yet," La Primavera" is a small hotel, family owned and managed ,located along the Amalfitan Coast,in Massa Lubrense. The hotel is sober elegant and bright. The rooms are spacious ,the bed sheets are immaculate and the bathrooms are meticolously clean. Each room has a an efficient AC system and an adjoining terrace. The view from the terrace is breathtaking:orchards of lemons and olives nearby, Capri, Naples and few small islands far away. Last but not least, the restaurant. The food-pastas ,shelfish anf fish- is sublime.

Room Tip: Ask for Claudio, the owner, and he will go the extra mile to accomotate you

I visited the Amalfi Coast/Massa Lubrense area in late July 2011. I would strongly recommend Hotel Primavera to my friends. The entire facilitiy is in immaculate condition,
It combines modern Italian elegance with a very responsive, highly service oriented management. The rooms have a great aircondiotioning system comfortable beds, rreally nice bathrooms and stocked refrigerators The hotel has a Spectaular restauant (actually 2). One sits above/ coveres open air overlooking the sea. The food was to die for. from appetizers to entree, every part of the experience felt like a positive surprise. I am a foodie and a hotel snob and this paased the test with flying colors!

What a marvelous place to stay! The VIEW, oh my, was marvelous! My son and daughter in law gave me a trip to this beautiful place as my Christmas present for 2009! The bruschetta was fabulous for dinner. What a marvelous family place with clean, well maintained rooms and lovely tile! And the VIEW! Listen for the bells of the village right up the street at noon! What a lovely sound! The owner and his wife are two lovely people, very friendly. Parking is a little precarious, but again, THE VIEW! A very nice place to stay!

We loved our recent stay at La Primavera. The rates were very reasonable, and the room was spotless with beautiful tiling. The beds were quite comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. We had an amazing meal outside on the 2nd floor terrace, and watched the sun set from there. The staff (Franco and his brother) were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! We also enjoyed being away from the crowds in Sorrento, Massa Lubrense was quite peaceful in comparison. We hiked down to the Marina, where we swam in the Med from the breakwater.
