Best hotel in our 2 week Italy tour. Booked private and not package, we had a small, clean room on the top floor with private terrace overlooking the sea and Capri where my wife and I would sunbathe, drink wine and sometimes dinners overlooking the moonlit sea and shimmering lights of Capri in the distance. We had our own car so we didn't need the bus and there's a water taxi that arrives directly at the hotel to take you for day trips to Capri. Pool area was crowded due to package tours but okay and clean. Rocky way down to the small, clean, sandy private beach. In the village nearby, there's small pizzerias and taverns so one must go into Sorrento. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant.

Room Tip: Book private, not package and asked for the top floor terrace rooms.

This 4* resort is so inclusive, if one so desired, one could easily just relax by the pool or down at the Mediterranean waterfront all day, every day. I really felt like I was “on holiday”. The views of the sea and the island of Capri were spectacular. The hotel does provide shuttle service into Sorrento throughout the day (a 20-minute commute), but it would have been more convenient for them to add a few more, especially during the late afternoon/evening hours. We had to carefully plan the timing of our dinners and trips into Sorrento, because if you miss the shuttle, a taxi is quite expensive. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was very nice. There is a large coffee machine which automatically produces cappuccinos and lattes, but if you ask one of the staff for a cappuccino, they’ll make it in the kitchen (much better!). I don’t recommend dinners at the hotel, even though they’re adequate. With a bit of research you can find much better in town. Be sure to reserve a seaside balcony room. The view is AMAZING! Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed. (We’d been warned to be sure to get on the seaside, but our first room was a seaside window room with no balcony, sandwiched in the crevice of the architecture, with almost no view. Thankfully we were able to change rooms.) There is no workout facility, but the pool and surrounding terrace café are lovely, and the walk down the stairs with a dip in the warm Mediterranean seemed adequate, along with the site seeing. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. Through the hotel’s consierge we made our dinner reservations and reservations for day tours (Amalfi Coast and Pompeii one day; Capri Boat Tour one day). One day we took the train up to Herculaneum. We underestimated just how much time this would take with unreliable train service, and in retrospect that day would have been better-spent lounging at the hotel. If you decide to do the Capri Boat Tour (highly recommended!), ask the hotel to book the 8-person luxury boat. Well worth the few extra Euros! Our biggest frustration was the inconsistency of the internet service (almost non-existent).

This is an excellent small hotel which is maintained to a high standard. The views to Capri are superb from the sea facing rooms, the top floor bar, the restaurant and pool area.
The food was pretty good (we were half board) and the cost of drinks on a par with the bars in Sorrento. We spent little time in the room itself as the balcony gave such a good view.
We never had a problem getting sunbeds by the pool, and the private rocky cove gave fantastic views when swimming in the sea.
All of the staff we encountered we're excellent.
To make things even better they should provide tea/coffee making in the rooms, but we would definitely return here.

This is a really lovely hotel- the views, as everyone mentions, are fabulous and an evening drink on the terrace watching the sunset over Capri is truly magical. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food tasty and the rooms and communal areas are comfortable, well equipped and clean. I would recommend visiting Capri (organised by the hotel, beware if you get seasick) and Pompei and Vesuvius which in my opinion are unmissable. I would definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend it.

Great hotel, peaceful location and good facilities, but the draw for this place is the amazing view out to Capri.

We had got in touch with the hotel prior to our arrival to request a room on the first (top) floor as we had seen on here that they were the best rooms. We were given one, at no additional cost, and were not disappointed - lovely balcony with loungers, chairs and table - and an amazing view!

The pool area was peaceful and relaxing with plenty of sun loungers to choose from. The pool is salt water but we didn't find this an issue.

Breakfast had a good choice - lots of pastry, cakes, cheese/meats, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurts. There were hot options as well - scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. We cannot comment on the evening meals as we were only B&B.

We had a car and drove down to Sorrento most evenings, many options there for meals. We also went up in the other direction and found the most amazing restaurant, Mira Capri, great fresh fish and real Itailan hospitality (great price too!).

We spent a day on the sundecks at Sorrento - great people watching amongst the locals. Cost of a sun lounger for the day was 12euros.

We also went on the trip tp Capri (organised through the hotel) which was worth it. Small tip is that you need to get straight off the boat and onto a little bus (1.80euro each) when you first arrive at the marina in order to get into Capri town.

I have to especially mention the staff at the hotel who were all fantastic. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a medical issue while staying here, and the staff could not have done any more for both of us. For that we are very grateful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room one 1st floor - they have the largest balconies with your own loungers if you don'...

I really wanted to love this hotel, however having read all the reviews here I think I set my expectations a bit too high. On the plus side, you will be hard pressed to find a hotel with better views, simply stunning! On the whole the staff are very friendly and very helpful, particularly the restaurant staff although I can't say the same about the staff around the pool. The food is good, in fact the pasta is excellent, as good as you will find anywhere but the mains are a bit varied ranging from beautiful sword fish to mediocre and not particularly traditional, roast pork and two veg. The restaurant seems stuck in a bit of a time warp with a distinct feel of the 70s and 80s but very efficient and very friendly. The rooms are similar, clean and bright, but in need of leap into the 21st century. The shuttle bus is good but they need to put on an extra one in the afternoon, yes, I appreciate it's siesta time but the first one back from Sorrento is 4.30pm so if you extend your lunch from 1 until 3 you're still hanging around waiting to get back and forget about taxis, €50 is the price you will pay from Sorrento. The sunbeds could also be a challenge, possibly just the time we went, the hotel was full. So I'm genuinely sorry it wasn't five stars but on the whole it was very good but I won't be going back

Room Tip: Get a room at the front, you'll be very disappointed if you don't!
