Very friendly service and excellent Calamari alla brace (my wife's favourite)
As stated in other reviews, this is actually in Marina di Puolo.

We ate here one evening on our honeymoon. Luigi (the owner) came to collect us from our hotel and dropped us off at the end of the evening. He and his staff were all fantastic. We were seated on the beach front so we could watch the breathtaking sunset while enjoying our wonderfully fresh seafood starters.
The waiter even hung back from clearing our table so not to interrupt.
The food is great, though can be a little samey, just with different pastas. Great, really fresh seafood.
The price is pretty good, you can eat cheaply or expensively as you choose, and it is better value than the tourist traps of Sorrento!
A lovely romantic setting with great food, we will be going back!

During our 9 day stay in Sorrento we tried to walk each day to a different marina within several miles of Sorrento. On this occasion we found a lovely family run small trattoria right on the beach. Four of us enjoyed the most delicious fish and pasta dishes. The pasta del mar was loaded with squid and clams. Great sauce. Four of us ate for 10 euro each, not counting our several beers. We could have stayed there all day enjoying the sun, the sand and the picturesque marina. Our host Luigi explained that his grandfather had started a cantina, nearby, many years ago. During the excavation for the current trattoria, they found a roman column made of marble. It is standing near their entrance. This small marina is out of the mainstream Sorrento comings and goings and is pleasantly quiet. I am not sure how profitable the trattoria is for Luigi but he puts his heart and soul into it and the quality of food shows that. When leaving we asked to take a picture with luigi and his mother and they were gracious and agreed.

Note that the website is not actually theirs, but it does give the correct map position; Trip Advisor's is wrong as this is actually in the coastal village of Marina di Puolo rather than
Massa Lubrense itself (can't see a way to correct these things).
This was certainly a pleasant place to people watch, at least if you can get a table near the beach, and the service was friendly and efficient. However, the food was on the pricey side and didn’t match the price; not awful but just average – disappointing as it was recommended in our guide book. If I went there again I’d try the next restaurant along, not very far to the west; after we’d had lunch we realised that one was much more popular.
