Stayed here with my girlfriend this August for 6 nights. We couldn't have wished for a nicer place to stay. The rooms were immaculate and modern, the food was stunning at the restaurant and the staff/family that ran the hotel were so helpful friendly. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel was used every night by the locals in the area which is always the sign of a good restaurant. This hotel was our last stop on a road trip from Venice. The value for money put shame to a lot of places we visited. We will one day hopefully return.

We spent at De Maria House 6 days and we really enjoy it! Accomodation was so nice - modern rooms (each of them is in different colours). The place is very calm, ideal to have a rest and draw your energy. What is more De Maria House is situated on the hill with a mouth-watering view. The family that runs the place and restaurant is very nice and helpful - they provide us with a lot of information on travelling around the Amalfi coast, they also recommended to us nice trip to Capr and gave us a lift to the marina.
Food at their lovely restaurant is just wonderful! Everything is very yummy, fresh and smells nice. As regards breakfast - there were a lot of nice cakes, but just one type of chease and ham.
You do not have to rent a car there, travelling by bus is very convenient, buses go around the whole Amalfi coast. The bus stop is just next door.
Highly recommended!

This starded out as a normal one week summer hollyday. We are 2 young couples just wanting to get out of the office and get some quality time in Sorrento peninsula. We made some reservations on-line and just took the plane to Napoli. We decided to spend the first night in Napoli and visit arround but that soon changed as we discovered the horryble, dirty, scarry, dangerous center of Napoli (Stazione Centrale and Garibaldi Sqaure as I remember). We had some very good napoletan Pizza and "locked" our selfs in the hotel counting the hour till morning when we started towards Sorrento where a totaly different spectacular extremley sparkling world opened up. The best way to be able to move arround the Sorrento peninsula is the italian way: the scooter (motorini in italian!) You can rent one Honda 100cc suitable for 2 people for about 25 euros a day. Higly recommended to use the scooter, if not then a very small car, because believe me the streets are very narrow and the italian drivers don't mess around with theyr driving: they are realy fast!!! Or you can use the local bus sistem, but again do not recommend it because of the delays (they are never on time!)
Anyway to get to what you all are realy intersted is the B&B De Maria House. We have truly lived one of the most beautiful hollyday experiences....ever!!! The family managed hotel and restaurant is trully impressive in all aspects:
1) Impecable rooms: new furniture, pleasant parfume nice warm c olours and comfy bed.
2) Breakfast: a king's treat! House made cakes by the senior owner, Don Michele a true master baker.
3) Great hospitality! Kind and willing to help us in all aspects. You can really cont on them!
4) The restaurant Pic Nic it is a magical place where you will discover a true italian experience. Ask for Fried Shrimps, Home made pasta with smoked mozzarela and eggplants, an incredible beef steak, all sorts of sea food cooked in traditional local recipies. The deserts are aslo top level. Again house made. You can eat the semifredo crocantion of Don Michele and the die! It is divine! MAGNIFICO!
5) Don Michele and Donna Tereza made us discover the true unique, original taste of the best PIZZA in the world! A secret masterd by Don Michele more than 30 years has become an original recipe for gourme eaters all over the wolrd. One you have tasted the PIZZA MARGHERITA or Bianca as they call it localy, you will never want another pizza again.
6) Try the fish, limoncelo and and excelent house wine and just enjoy really relaxing evenings on the terrace smelling the mediteranean fresh air.

The place is a good avanpost for visiting the entire Amalfi Coast, allong the beautiful Via Nastro Azzuro, Vezuvio Mountain, Pompei ruins, Capri Island, Ravello. There is a lot to visit so eat a lot of pasta and pizza the have plenty of energy to see all those wonders.

7) For snorkeling, swiming I trully recommend Baia di Ieranto, a natural reserve sitauted in a Golf south of the peninsula. Clear blue waters perfect for sealife observations!

I hope I can visit De Maria House pretty soon! It was a fantastic experience! I allready miss the PIZZA..............

Room Tip: We liked the first floor rooms on the same level with the terrace.

Massa Relais / De Maria House B&B is ideal if you are travelling by car and want to be located close to attractions such as Amalfi Coast & Sorrento but also want to be away from crowded urban areas.
The B&B is located in a quiet semi-rural area, and offers great food for breakfast & evening meals - allowing lots of time to relax after daytripping.
The various family members are all very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, there's free wifi and carparking and the rates are great value given the total services provided.
We booked online from Australia 2 months in advance, the booking process was reliable and we were able to charge all costs (accommodation & meals) to our room in 1 transaction paid on departure.
We enjoyed interacting with family members and Highly Recommend this location to fellow English speaking travellers.

This B&B lies in the beautiful landscape of Campania. It might look a bit shabby from the outside, but the inside it completely renovated with all new rooms that are no less than hotel rooms. There is a flatscreen and very decent bathroom with all the facilities you need. When the wheather is good, they have a spacious terrace with a fantastic view.
The family that runs the place is soooo nice. We arrived later in the evening because we had some trouble finding the place due to an outdated GPS, but on arrival they started up the kitchen again and made us a great meal! You can eat here everyday if you want and they will put it on the bill for you. These are all very reasonable prices. The breakfast contains homemade pastries.
Like other B&B in this area, it is recommended to have a car for transportation, as it may be difficult to navigate between the mountaineous villages.
Would definitely come back again if I would visit Campania again!

This place cannot be faulted! There is not one bad thing i can say about this B&B. For a start its superb value for what you get! The location is secluded up the mountains and is not far from sorrento. And because its up the mountains all the rooms have an unbelievable view! The whole B&B is beautifully decorated with modern furniture, colourful walls and flat screen TVs. The rooms are just nice places to be. if your not looking at your amazing view down the mountain you ar enjoying your flat screen tv with hundreds of tv channels! There is also a cool mp3 player that you can turn on in your room which plays great random songs in italian and in english! The B&B is run by a family who are just the nicest people you can meet. they make you feel like part of the family for the whole duration on your stay. We found ourselves watching the champions league final together with all the family and guests. great fun all round! Now, on to the food. It is unbelievable!!!! and soo cheap that includes the beer too! the pizza we had was to die for! and we had the choice to have whatever toppings we wanted! followd by limoncello and limone gelato!! Amazing. There is seriously not one bad thing we can say about this place. there should be no doubt of where you are going to stay if your are visting the area of sorrento. The hardest part of the holiday was saying goodbye to this wonderful place and the beautiful, friendly people that run it.
