A beautiful place in a quiet setting with kind and helpful hosts. The house was spotless, well equipped and spacious. Stores, including an excellent fishmonger, are in easy walking distance. We recommend it highly.

Magnolia House and the smaller apartment next door are without doubt the highest standard of holiday rentals you will ever find and not expensive given the facilities

Everything you need is already provided in the spotlessly clean including washing machines and full cooking facilitites , Ultimately it is like being at home and knowing where the cloths, condiments washing up liquid etc is to be found. Basic needs but when on holiday how nice to have them at your disposal preventing countless trips to the supermarket.

If you had booked into the best hotel available you would not have been as happy as finding this jewel in the crown of the Amalfi Coastiera. The gardens are beautiful with basil, tomatoes, parsley and courgettes all available for you to use as you wish.
A large veranda and patio with with a large bar b cue and outside dining area is

Your hosts are Lucia and Francesco, the most fantastic couple too. Lucia is a wonderfully welcoming person and nothing is too much trouble if you need anything she will provide.
The centre of Sant Agata is only a 5 minute walk and you are perfectly based if not driving to catch a bus to Sorrento , Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.

We will most definately return in the near future and I cannot rate highly enough

Room Tip: All are good

I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll start with the first thing that brought a smile our faces when my husband and I arrived at the Magnolia House, after touring most of Norther Italy on our motorcycles. It's Lucia Gargiulo herself. What a delight she is and a gracious host. She made our welcome feel like coming home, even though it was our first time in Italy and the surrounding areas. She is so sweet, inviting and enthusiastic about having you as a guest. The town of Sant'agata was a perfect location for touring Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompeii and all other surrounding towns. The buses run all along the main street a stones throw away from the apartment. There are fantastic roads for riding and great hiking trails all around. There are top notch restaurants, cute caffes, bars, shops and supermarkets also a short walk from your front door. You can't go wrong. As for the house itself, as you first arrive, the sign for the Magnolia house well represents what you'll find inside. Well thought out, cosy, comfortable Italian style. If you like to cook, the kitchen is perfect. Fully equipped, large and very functional. The living area and 2 bedrooms are also extremely comfortable and well decorated. There is a sweet view of the ocean from your front patio, with bistro style seating for two and a very large sitting area out back where you can barbecue or just just relax after a long day of touring. The back patio can accommodate at least 4 - 6 people very comfortably. All in all, our stay was one of the best we've had on our 7 week tour of Italy. Extremely affordable for the area and what you get. We would definitely be back and would recommend anyone to stay at the Magnolia House.

Me and my boyfriend, along with two couples of friends, stayed at Magnolia House for Easter 2012 ... we could not have chosen better!
The house is very well equipped, it is brand new and tastefully decorated, and although it's just a short walk from the center of S. Agata,it is really quiet.
Hope that the weather is good (as is often the case in costiera!) to enjoy the beautiful garden, which, although it has not a sea view (the apartment is on the ground floor), is surrounded by fragrant lemon trees !
The owners are very lovely and helpful, they gave us great advice and when we arrived wefound many good things to eat as well as a bottle of their homemade limoncello!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

CONSIGLIATISSIMO!

We enjoyed 7 memorable days at the Magnolia House after a Globus Italy tour. The house owner / host Lucia & Francesco will treat you to an Italian experience you'll long remember. The house, it's patios, location are ideal for chilling out, day trips, drives down the Amafi Coast. The house has 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4, a 5th on sleeper sofa. Beautiful yard with flowering gardens and lemon trees. Secure parking for rental car. Easy walk to town center; grocery store, resturants, bakery. Sorrento is 15 minutes drive. Positana about the same. Lucia's family treats you like visiting family. She will give you a cooking lesson, teach you how to make limonchello from fresh lemons from her tree. Take your laptop on Apple tablet and stay in touch with the house Wi-Fi. Television offers English programs. Kitchen is well equipped for as much or as little you want to under take. Lucia manages other Massa Lubrense VRBO.com units with breath taking views; however, you are not within walking distance to the village. The penisula has a bus system with nearby stops, should you not have use of rental car. Have traveled to Italy 6 different times, this was the most memorable ! Happy to respond to any questions @

We just returned from a wonderful holiday in the Amalfi/Sorrento area and spent seven great nights at Magnolia House (we stayed here last May as well). The villa is located in the small, non touristy town of St. Agata Sui Due Golfi which is the perfect location to explore all of the Amalfi Coast and the Massa Lubrense area. Naples and Pompeii are within an hours drive (Naples by ferry 20 minutes ). Sorrento is an easy 20 min drive/bus ride or an easy 45 minute walk thru the lemon groves. The Massa Lubrense coastal towns are a must to visit. Walking/hiking trails are right outside your door. The town of St. Agata is beautiful with several great restaurants/pizzerias, cafes, gelato shops, cheese and fresh pasta shops and a supermarket. The villa is very spacious, spotless clean, a great kitchen, and a wonderful terrace and garden to enjoy the sun or to have your meals or wine al fresco. Lucia and Francesco are the ideal hosts and will greet you with true Italian warmth, they will help you with any questions you have of the region. A true gem in a perfect location.
