Wow, a very special little wine bar cum restaurant. This is the sort of place you hope for when you come on holiday to an exotic location. It's the layout, it's the décor, it's the art, it's the people. The little main bar is a higgledy piggledy jumble of art (lots of it), chairs, decorations and a few tables, an arm chair. It's as if you're in an art film, and in full colour. They make exquisite cocktails (try café fredo (iced coffee), served in champagne glasses having been made, mixed and iced right there before your eyes; and charge at just 2€ each). They have a small menu of high cuisine and beautifully prepared and displayed it is too. To the side of the bar is a restaurant, more normal, less attic, and they serve a brilliant, high cuisine meal. The staff are laid back and cool.
Fabulous. You can play at being one of the beautiful people.
(“Abitue” is an Italian adaptation of the French word for Regular; an English translation therefore might be “The Regular Spot”, or better “My Local”.)
