We reserved in Villa Adele guided by opinions in TripAdvisor.

To tell the truth, when we arrived to the place we were a bit dissapointed. It did not look as the nice and modern chalet hotel that one can expect from the fotos. And it isn´t!

The room we had (# 3) was not small, but really tiny. And the decoration is from 1965, but OK if you want to think it is "vintage". This is the end of the inconvenience and the reason of not giving the place a 5 star rating.

The hotel situation is perfect if you want to visit Venice without actually staying in Venice, the bus stop to Piazzale Roma is less than 3 minutes away. Andrea, the owner is a very kind and helpful person. He explained us perfectly how to go to Venice, prices of transports, options, what to visit, where to eat, etc. he ven sold us the tickets at the official price.

The hotel is very clean, although it needs some updating. The breakfast is not very varied and has no hot meals like eggs, bacon, etc. except a bread toaster. I read some previous opinions saying the contrary but there was no written notice whatsoever saying that hot meals were available on request and the truth is that I didn´t ask.

Very reasonable price/quality ratio.

I booked this hotel following the earlier reviews, which suggested it was a good base to explore Venice. It certainly lived up to that recommendation, with a bus stop virtually outside the hotel and then around 20 minutes to the outskirts. Being honest when we first arrived at the hotel I was disappointed with the area and a bit concerned. But this was an over-reaction, it was quiet and peaceful in the evenings. The room and bathroom we had were a little small, too small bearing in mind I was with my 17 year old son. The wifi connection we had in the room was also not good, I could not open any pages on my browser sadly. Perhaps that was because we were distant from the router?? All in all though this hotel needs to be viewed in the context of its price and the friendliness of the staff. If you are on a budget this is a very good option.

Room Tip: Ask for a a large double if available. I saw another room that looked quite a bit bigger than ours.

We stayed for four days and we had a great time! When we arrived, luggage and all, we were greet by the owner and was given an introduction of Venice. He said it was a "brief description" though it included many details that are worth remembering! He recommended fantastic restaurants nearby (directions included) as well as a local supermarket a few minutes away. The breakfast was great! Do not expect a lot of choice, though it is enough to keep you through the morning. I would suggest eating outside in the garden as it created a lovely ambiance. The staff was extremely nice! Especially the man who makes the coffee in the morning. He speaks no English, but words are not needed to see how nice he is. The room was extremely clean! Though there is only one bin (I find this is the norm in Italy, so no worries there!) Be sure to take the bus 6 or 6/ to the heart of Venice and simply take the water-bus everywhere else. Beware of pickpockets! We noticed a man eying us at the stop and we were immediately weary of our possession. Though this brings us to another point that it is easy to spot pickpockets - just look around at who is looking at you and your belongs. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Room Tip: Request a lower floor if you are unable to carry your luggages up. Remember! There are no lifts!

Hotel Villa Adele Marghera, Venezia, was clean and well maintained. We got a boring room, on the ground floor with a small window into the backyard. The staffs were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was nice. There were several restaurants nearby.
