Woo Hoo free entry!!
We had a great time today at the Hop Farm you can spend as much as you want if you are on a tight budget. The Outside adventure park, Indoor soft play and the animals are all free. Our day ended with a history lesson in the Oast house watching old footage of families Hop Picking.
Brilliant well done Hop Farm!!

No nice vibes. The hopper show was good but the entertainers were far from funny. Tom & co before used to be highlight of the hop farm. No way near what it used to be. Was a chilling day & obviously the locals had plonked themselves in the play zone indoors & were there for the day!!! It's free so a cheap day out for them. Not a happy or fun place to be at. It's lost all it's charm & is now just another tacky place with fair ground rides. Certainly won't be going again if it carries on like this even if it is free. Sorry but you have ruined it.

Thank you for providing your feedback. We appreciate all comments, good and bad. We are sorry your visit was disappointing. Since opening with free entry, we've had really positive comments. We are developing the Hop Farm Family Park and have a number of new features and attractions coming in 2013. We would love to welcome you back.

We had a great day yesterday with my two sons aged 2 and 5. We'd been lots of times before as we live locally, but under the new management there was lots more to do, and the entertainments team especially were excellent, with the Hopper Show. Nice to see it revived as it was getting pretty tired before. Would have given it a 5 but it cost more money than it did previously with our family membership, so it will be an occasional rather than a regular treat now.

Visited the hop farm after a few years away as when we last went it was appalling. But after hearing through the mummy grapvine that it is free entry then why not pop along we thought. It was fab, bit like going to the seaside, free to get in and you can pay for what you want. There arent as many "free" activities as manager comment below suggests, There are 3 i would say, thats the hoppers indoor play, the farm animals and the play area. Everything else charges. Some things i refused to spend tokens on, no way am i paying 2 tokens (aprox £2.00 pound) for my child to bounce for five minutes on a tiny bouncy castle or small trampolines. Most children have trampolines at home now so seems silly to pay for them. The best value by far with one taken is the shows (fab, kids loved them but WHY do adults have to use a token to watch, its not really for us is it, but we have to supervise, i would have watched more shows if i didnt have to use a token!!!!!) also the pilllows as they can stay on these for as long as they want and the cars which although a short time, value at 1 token very good. Boats were great but way to much, i couldnt afford for all the children to go on these. Overall the free entry is by far the best incentive to go, we spent in total about 25 pounds and a bit more on drinks etc. Lots more than a day at other similar attractions. But then there isnt as much to offer. In honesty i wouldnt go if not free entry, but i think this should be the way forward. Well done, word ha certinally spread far and wide and generally i have heard good things and will be telling others good things about the hop farm.

Although it was a surprise not to be charged an entry fee and to visit the animals were free too, the other attractions all were considerable highly priced for the small rides for the children. To take a family with small children which this makes an excellent day for, not for older children past around 11, it makes for a very expensive day out. In fact I would have preferred an entrance fee instead of paying for the rides. Either the way it was an expensive day out with very little excitment . Bit of a let down sorry to say.
