“Wedding hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2014 via mobile

I recently got married in Malcesine and we stayed here for 5 days. We picked the hotel for the view of the castle and it didn't disappoint. The hotel were really accommodating throughout our stay and even helped arranged a tuk tuk to take me to the castle on my wedding day. The hotel and staff are truly wonderful and would definitely stay here again. :)

I have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at the hotel with my mother. Due to a delayed flight we did not arrive until midnight but having e mailed ahead I was reassured there would be someone waiting for us. We grateful to be greeted at the door and swiftly shown to our second floor room (number 20), having not booked a lake view we were delighted to open our blinds to be blown away with a perfect view of the castle and lake. The room was very large with two balconies and furnished with everything we needed including tea making facilities. The hotel is situated on a reasonably busy road which can be a little noisy sometimes but not disrupting. The breakfasts are plentiful and filling and the addition of a smiley face on top of my morning cappuccino was delightful. The garden is an amazing addition and we spent the late afternoons lounging in the sun.after spending our days sightseeing. We were delighted with the staff at the hotel, they were always smiling and happy to help. Regarding the wifi I was able to get access from my room at all times. The town of Malcesine is beautiful and surpassed our all expectations. We were also extremely pleased with the airport transport arranged for us by the hotel. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and since my return yesterday have already don so. Thank you to all at Hotel Ariston for an amazing holiday.

Room Tip: Higher floors have amazing views

We stayed for a week in the executive rooms when attending a wedding. From our original booking, you could tell this was a well run family hotel. Correspondence was timely and friendly. Situated about 200 metres up the hill from the towns outer limits, the views from the top rooms of the castle and lake are breathtaking and the cable car to Mount Baldo is virtually next door.
Our room and all the usual stuff tea maker ( no coffee ) safe, TV ,fridge and good lighting. An added bonus are the electric external blackout shutters, combined with the very comfortable beds you are sure to sleep in as there is also no timepieces.
The balcony was huge with 2 reclining chairs table and footstool. Also to the rear with great views of the snow capped Mount Baldo is a shared private veranda with recliners and chairs.
The bathroom is a great size with double shower, his and her basins and a remote skylight. REMEMBER to bring your own shampoo , shower gel etc as there is only a liquid soap dispenser !
The breakfast is continental but extensive . With fruits , cheeses and meats, various breads and some gluten free! Also there are a varied selection of normal and fruit teas always available.
I struggled to gain access to the internet as the Wifi is virtually non existent in your room .
The gardens are well kept with chairs, tables and hammocks scattered around , also a Jacuzzi . There are also some games available. Plus a sauna in the basement at an extra charge.
If you have forgotten any incidentals, there is a Spar shop 250 metres tab the entrance to the town.
When we return to Malcesine , we will definitely be rebooking the Ariston !!
If you do find this report useful, please mark it so ! It encourages more in depth reports.

Room Tip: All Executive rooms on the third floor have unobstructed views of the lake and Castle .

Went to this hotel as a second choice 18 months ago for a wedding across from the road from the castle. This little hotel is family run by a young Italian lady (Carla) and her Mother they have a small team which runs the day to day establishment. Dan runs the front desk and Tariq runs the restaurant for breakfast. Nothing is complicated. We stayed on the top floor rom 25 the whole top floor are executive rooms for not a lot more money. The view of the castle and the lake is fantastic. The place has a Magnetism it is better the second time around. The weather was fantastic the top floor has a back balcony facing Monte Baldo with sun loungers so you can have sun from 8am in the morning till 8 at night. We went for a relaxing time we got everything we wanted. This is a fantastic small hotel. It deserves all it's accolade this is a first rate peace and tranquility built in.
The quality of its fitting I.e. Showers and tiles are special, there has been a lot of time and effort and money gone into picking and supplying first rate quality at this establishment.

Room Tip: If you can pay for the third(top)floor it's worth every penny for the views and the quality of t...

We stayed at Hotel Ariston for 4 nights with our 3 year old son and were made to feel extremely welcome. Our spacious double aspect room on the 3rd floor had amazing views of lake and castle which was a lovely bonus. Location is perfect, right next to the cable car and only a 2 min stroll from the centre of Malcesine. Can't wait to stay again.

We stayed at Ariston as they were just opening for this season and we were worried it could actually go both ways. We were very pleasantly surprised.
I have to start by saying that the pictures are very accurately representative of the premises. The hotel is family run and very cIean. We had room number 18 which is decent sized and has an amazing view of the lake and the Catello Scaligero. Our friend had room 15 with view on the mountain and equally decent size.
The garden is just exquisite, it was still slightly fresh weather but we managed to have breakfast, which by the way is very decent and partly bio, there every day.
On the last day the owner let us keep the single room till our departure without even asking, which was obviously greatly appreciated.
A special mention goes to Tarek who saw us in the center as we were looking for a decent restaurant (since not all were open) and although he was on his way home took the time to walk with us and direct us to a very nice place.
I guess it's the little things that make a huge difference when you stay in small family run hotels and you'll will certainly appreciate this at Ariston.
Would strongly recommend.

Room Tip: Room 18 was great for 2 people. Lovely view that makes you just want to sit on the balcony and sip w...
