Absolute must if you are in Malcesine. Morning lines can be several hours so I recommend going later in day. Round trip can be several hours but so worth it.

If around the area i truly recommend to go there using the funicular from Malcesine.
After it reaches the top station is a light walk of 20 minutes to reach the best view all over Garda Lake.
The light and view will truly differ along of the day apart the weather conditions.
I was stunned with the mix of the mountains and the big Garda lake.

Incredible height, though you don't realise it. You are amongst the Mountains!! It is a little weather dependant. I think they don't run the cable-car in bad weather. The para-gliding is fun to sit and watch. They just run off the edge of the mountain!!

This is a very popular attraction and is often crowded. The trip to the top involves 2 cable cars each way. At the top there are many beautiful spots for photos and views. Also, this is the launch point for the parasailers floating over the lake.

We took a cable car at Malcesine to go up the mountain, and the views over the lake from the top were really spectacular! But there are certain points to take in account before making a decision whether to go to Monte Baldo or not. I think the best solution is to come at the cable car station as early as possible after a night in Malcesine or somewhere in the vicinity. That will help you to avoid crowds. Otherwise, be prepared to a long and tiring waiting in line to catch a cable car. Frankly, after visiting several famous mountains in Austria and Germany, we could say that the organization at Monte Baldo was by far the worst: the line extended for a three-floor height staircase, so you find yourself locked in a narrow and crowded passage for about an hour. And it was a weekday at the end of September! Hard to imagine what is happening there during high summer period!..
So, if you have limited time, maybe a boat trip, a stroll in the charming town of Malcesine and a visit to the Scaligeri castle would be a better option)..
