“Great staff and food”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We spent 2 weeks in June/July and found the staff extremely obliging. Every member of staff could in all honesty be mentioned- reception doing way beyond their job, Filomena, Giuseppe and others. The restaurant staff, Orlando, Roberto, Giuse and crew worked their socks off and were so attentive. The bar staff (although it would be nice for all inclusive to go beyond 10.30 pm) were good and our room maid Michela with her artistic elephants and swans (towels) was so helpful. The food was first class and the presentation was excellent and never have we had so many towels without asking. The manager, Antonio was always around, very helpful and approachable. The roof-top terrace is excellent and the female singer on Saturday nights was pleasant to listen to. Graham

Room Tip: When booking ask for a room with a balcony sea view OR at the side

We spent 7 nights at the hotel Panorama with 2 children. The service was excellent both at the reception and restaurant! Thanks to Filomena and restaurant people for making our stay a beautiful one. Food was amazing in presentation and taste. Beach is clean and right across the street. Location of the hotel is perfect too. A few steps from a bus stop that takes you to Amalfi. We actually found Maiori a perfect place to stay with children as it is not as busy as Amalfi. Maiori has its charm along with the hotel Panorama and its wonderful staff. Lastly, if you book a room with a sea view you will have a stunning view of mountains and sea. Overall, a great place! Hoping to be back one day.

Dear Olena,
i’m fully agree with you, Maiori is the best place to visit Amalfi Coast, from there is possible to get , in few minutes all towns in the area. From the little port is possible to catch a ferry to Capri. Maiori owns the longest beach of all Amalfi Coast and a coastline with a fantastic promenade for adults and child. Thanks so much, we hope to have you next
time here as our best guests.

I stayed here at the end of June, beginning of July. We had booked a room with a sea view, and were not disappointed, great double room, good sized balcony, stunning views. Be sure you actually book a sea view room & not just request one, one family had that issue.
I traveled with my mobility impaired Mum, & have to say the staff from the moment we arrived, did all they could to help.
We were on the 4th floor, and you do get to hear all the chairs scraping from the rooftop terrace:not so good early mornings.
The splash pool beds get filled very quickly so be sure to get in early!!
We went all inclusive & the food was fabulous, a really good spread for both breakfast & lunch. For dinner you get to choose from 2/3 starters & mains.
Some people who were staying were not happy with the lunch selection, as it mostly consists of fresh salad, pasta, meat/ fish, but to be honest what did they expect? They're in Italy they're not going to get steak pie & chips!! - Fresh salad & pasta on a daily basis- yes please.
Top marks for the kitchen team, fabulous food. The team at the hotel is small & most seemed to be working breakfast, lunch & dinner every day. However they were all a delight, friendly, patient & helpful, top marks to them too.
My only gripe is the music, Michael Bolton at lunch for 7 days & Lionel Ritchie at dinner for 7 days,Gah!!

A really lovely Hotel, simple, pleasant, fab staff, fab food & amazing views.

In general the Hotel is fine and in an excellent position. The staff are excellent in all areas and we certainly liked the waiter service for dinner. We found the food on offer to be really good for all meals! We considered the cost of the package quite expensive ??

It seems they have sorted out the issues with all inclusive drinks as there was the option of a local Vodka available! However on the last evening the manager decided to conduct an appraisal of his bar staff and it seems that the bar staff are not allowed to issue bottled water after 10.30pm?....... You can imagine our surprise to be issued with an invoice for 2.50 euros on the morning of departure??

There are one or two exceptions that need to be dealt with! ... Be aware that you have to pay 6 euros PP per day to use the Beach in Maiori even if you are resident in a Hotel, That can work out expensive for a family of 4 or so?
We found the AC system in the room not quite up to the job! It is a cool water system, basically cool water is used the cool the room by a convection system that on a couple of occasions could not cope with the heat ?

Would we visit Mairoi again? ...Yes!

Room Tip: Our room only had a small shower, So contact the Hotel if you require a Bath. Our room was also lack...

My girlfriend and I arrived on June 26th to stay 10 nights at Hotel Panorama. Our travel agency had made an error, and we got a room with "partly sea view" and not "frontal sea view" as we payed fore. The hotel employes made some magic and with in a few days, we could move to our new room. This act to make us fully satisfied during our stay, pretty much reflect the service standard at Hotel Panorama!
You are fantastic, capable, kind and very helpful - all in all the most fantastic hotel crew a guest can which fore!

Thanks you so much all of you fore making our holiday a success. And special thanks Filomena fore taking care of us, with tour suggestions, where to eat and much more. Your manager should promote you ;-) We hope to see you all again

Best regards

Dear Gitte & Morten,
we are delighted to know we have made your holiday a great experience. Satisfied guests like you are our best reward for the work done.
As to Filomena I agree with you, she is a fantastic collaborator that loves her job, she knows everything in the Amalfi Coast at the point that her colleagues call her "Siri Amalfi Coast" as the well-known software of the Apple.
I hope to meet you again here in hotel as our guests and I thank you for the appreciation made.

This hotel is in a perfect position. It is a bit dated but very clean and the food is excellent. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was that there was no entertainment at night (apart from a not very good female singer on a Saturday night). Music played was the same night after night so it got a bit bring.
We were unlucky enough to get a room on the 4th floor right underneath the Roof Garden so was awoken by chairs scraping on the floor at 6 am in a morning and it was noisy at night too. Having said that, I did get used to it and the bar closed at 10.30 pm so it didn't carry on late and the room was spacious, had a balcony with a wonderful Sea View so it compensated for its bad bits.
The view from The Roof Garden was amazing.
We were handy for buses and visiting other places... Isle of Capri... Pompeii... Herculaneum & Positano (which I specially fell in love with).
The red open topped bus was great for visiting Minori & Amalfi.
The meals were great and wines very quaffable.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go again.

Room Tip: If you can, don't choose a room on 4th floor under the Garden Restaurant but if its only one tha...

The hotel is fairly central in Maiori and a 3 euro bus ride gets you to Amalfi. The sea views are spectacular. Lower floor sea view rooms may experience a bit of road noise and 4th floor sea view rooms some noise from moving chairs on the 5th floor roof terrace, but either would be worth it for the views and people watching opportunities. I was on the 4th floor and would happily stay there again. The rooms are clean, big enough, and clean white fluffy towels are provided each day.
The pool is VERY small but the beach is just across the road and if a larger pool is important to you there is one available nearby at the sister apartment block.
Breakfast and lunch are buffet style. The evening meal is waiter service with a choice of 3 starters, 3 main meals (1 meat, 1 fish, 1 vegetarian) and 2 desserts. The quality of the food is excellent - well cooked and presented. The waiters are pleasant and attentive, all staff work hard. The bottles of wine available at meal times on the all inclusive arrangement were very drinkable, the cola wasn't wonderful and surprisingly lemonade wasn't available on all inclusive.
If I were to return to the Amalfi coast area in the future the Hotel Panorama is were I would want to stay.
