“Molto Buono”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

I ate here on my first day in Maiori. The inside of the restaurant is a bit dated, but don't let that sway you because the food is very good. I ordered the calzone (prob. the biggest in the world), while my friends ordered pizza and sausage made on the grill. Everything was fresh and delicious, and big portions too. I definitely reccomend this restaurant.

“Lovely Restaurant”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

We have been to Maiori twice now each time for two weeks and discovered this restaurant. We ate here every night both visits. Great food, great staff and excellent value. The restaurant is family owned and the whole family and staff are wonderful. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Say hi to Antonio and Remo if you go. Definately order Linguine Scampi. This restaurant would cater for couples, family, friends, business and solo.

“Good Italian HomeCooking!”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

One evening while we were wandering around Amalfi, Italy looking for a place to eat, we came upon L'Ancora. It's a small place with outdoor seating (as well as indoor) and deliciouly seasoned dishes. I had spaghetti and clams, one of my favorites. The clams were small, sweet and presented in the shell atop the pasta. The broth was delicious. I wondered why the pasta tasted so good, and realized that it too had been cooked in clam broth.Yum.
My husband had fresh, homemade grilled Italian sausage and some garlic and parsley roasted potato wedges. A nice green salad, crusty bread and some of the local wine completed a very good meal.
No room for dessert..but yes to two Ily expressos...

“Traditional”

This seemed to be the only traditional looking restaurant in Maori. We sat outside. The food was nice and the service was pretty quick. Would recommend

“Reasonably priced good food.”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

The interior is a little off putting, rather small and a very '70s decor. However, the staff are very friendly, have a good understanding of English ( a bonus for all us non-multi-lingual!) and service efficient. The food was very fresh, well cooked and served. A lot of locals in there on the evening we visited which is probably the best review!
