“The food was bland and very disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

We found this place on trip advisor and decided to check it out. After the 6 of us nervously walked in thinking its very expensive and posh we decided the food will have to be worth it.

4 of us had the rabbit pasta which was so bland we were happy that their was Parmesan on the table to give it any kind of flavour.

The cochino (don't know the spelling) was very fatty and the taste wasn't all together that appealing.

Some of us had better dishes, but I wasn't impressed enough to say that it was just me with the bad luck.

Our espressos at the end of the meal were room temperature when they arrived at our table. But were replaced without question when we complained.

Service was excellent and fast. We also received a round of complimentary liqueurs at the end of the meal. €95 per couple with 1 bottle of wine from the cheaper bottles on the menu was NOT value for money!! We're normally not bothered by spending that kind of money for good food, and we know food, especially Italian, having lived in this part of the world all of our lives.

“Mixed feelings but still recommended”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

This place is a little tricky to find so get directions before you go there.

I really liked the place when we got there. Not as formal as Alfiero but still professional and warm. The menu was exciting and I ended up choosing the duck with foie gras. My wife chose the spagetti with wild boar sauce.

The duck was really over cooked. It really felt like the duck breast had been sliced and reheated which was a shame because the taste and combination with the foie gras was really working. The same goes for the pasta dish. It was missing that special taste and was really a bit bland.

Top marks for the surroundings but the food was a disappointment. However I would go back because I think this place really has the ambition to do better.

“The best Madonna di campiglio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

The best place we have ever visited in Madonna di Campiglio! We recommend to order foi-gras, venison carpaccio, duck breast, vegetables with hot cheese and lamb. Actually just order anything - it's fantastic. The owner is often in the restaurant personally serving some of the dishes and making everybody feel very welcome. Fantastic place.
