We recently visited Rome for a couple of days and decided we desperately wanted to learn how to cook an authentic Italian dish. We came across Italian Provincial Tours through a mutual Friend here in Australia. Katri instantly replied to my enquiry and was very helpful in organising an intimate cooking class in Abruzzo for just myself and my friend. Katri helped me organise a bus to and from Rome. The commute from Rome (2hrs) was wonderful with amazing scenery. Katri picked us up from the bus station and took us to Loredana’s house where we started our cooking adventure. Katri, Marco, Loredana and her husband were very welcoming. My friend and myself felt like part of the family and we all shared many laughs throughout the day together. Katri and Marco have a huge amount of knowledge about the surrounding regions and were able to answer any questions we had. We helped Loredana make two different types of ravioli and an eggplant appetiser. Loredana was a wonderful teacher. She was very kind and gentle. Katri and Marco were on hand 100% of the time to help with the language barrier. We all sat together at the table and enjoyed a lovely lunch of which we helped make. It was delicious. Our day ended by having the most amazing Gelato we had tried since being in Italy at a local gelataria. We flew home 24hrs later and my children were super excited about mummy showing them what I had learnt........ see photos below. I would highly recommend Italian Provincial Tours. Katri and Marco take a lot of Pride in their company and will guarantee you a great time.
