We were the only guests during our recent stay. As a consequence we were given the best room in the house. Room 5 is I remember correctly. It had a really large balcony with a lovely view of the town. The service was very professional & friendly. Lovely pool. Nice people.
The only negative was that the bed was very hard.
Some other thoughts on our visit to Lipari.
DO NOT take a taxi from the port to the Villa. It's only a 10 min walk. Our taxi drive charged us 12 euro. Such a rip off. We were advised subsequently that if we had phoned to say we had arrived, the hotel would have called down to pick us up [at no charge].
The Panarea Stomboli cruise while not expensive was not really to our taste. My suggestion is that you get lots of deails in advance & then decide whether the trip is for you. We had 45 mins on Panarea which was much too short followed by 3 hours on Stromboli which was much too long. Overall I thought the trip was overly long.
We had dinner at Filippino [Pazza Municipio] & Pulera [Via Isabella Vainicher Conti] - both were very good meals. They did not have English menus so brush up on your menu Italian befor you go. Pulera was about 5 mins from the hotel.
We had looked at staying on the other islands but were very happy that we deciided to stay on Lipari - good choice of restaurents etc.
