We booked a one week stay (7 nights including breakfast) for a very good price, which made us a bit suspicious. So our expectiations weren't exactly high.
The location is perfect if you wanna go to the beach a lot. It's just a short walk away from the bagni and restaurants and a short drive (3 km) from the free beach. There are also a few parking spots inside a closed off area next to the tennis courts and a few just next to the hotel. We didn't have to pay extra for them, but maybe that's different if you stay there during the high season.
The staff at the reception desk (at least some of them) spoke English but were delighted when we at least tried to utter some words in Italian. They all were friendly and helpful.
We got a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and with a great view on the ocean. I'm not sure if we booked this or if we got a free upgrade because there weren't a lot of guests there at the time. Anyway, the room was rather small and the wallpaper and carpet seemed pretty old and very used but everything was clean. We got fresh towels every day. The A/C worked perfectly fine and so did the fridge and TV.
The only thing that ticked me off a bit was that the cleaning staff left the balcony door open when they left. Even though we were on the 3rd floor, I found this rather uncommon and not at all safe, especially since the safe was so small that we couldn't put our laptops inside. So our computers were just lying around in a room with the balcony door open the whole day where anyone could've gotten in via the adjacent rooms/balconies. But I wrote a note for the cleaning crew and after that, they kept it closed.
What caught our attention was the phone above the toilet and the emergency buttons all over the place (above the bed, in the shower). It almost made you feel like you were staying in a hospital.
We only had breakfasts included, so I can't really judge the food very well. However, the breakfast buffet was held in a big room. There were three machines that served different kinds of sugary water with added flavour such as chocolate (=hot chocolate) or orange (=orange juice) and various kinds of coffee. The croissants were very sugary and sticked together. All of them were either filled or coated in marmelade or chocolate. They also offered some cereals and corn flakes as well as scrambled eggs and bacon. There were also a few kinds of meat such as salame and cheese such as mozzarella to choose from as well as nutella, marmelade, honey and butter. The bread tasted like a piece of wood, so I started bringing my own.
The first three nights (friday to sunday) were very noisy. Loud music was playing from the bar that's located across the pool area until around 4 AM and the windows/balcony door were not sound-proof at all. It was as loud with the door closed as it was with the door open. The rest of our stay (monday to thursday), there were no parties and we slept very well. The matresses were quite hard as well, but there was only one thin cover sheet for both of us.
I would stay at this place again, but only if I could find an offer with the same low price again.
