Nice hotel, great views, friendly staff. That said, Americans should be aware this is a typical "euro" hotel: teeny elevator, small rooms, no washcloths, at all, annoying hair dryer stuck to bathroom wall with 15 inch cord, no iron, at all, ever. They charge for ironing/laundry service. Nice breakfast but again -they dont have "waffles". This is what you get. If you want the Holiday Inn dont come to this lovely town.
Their breakfast is nice, the vistas are incredible. There is a small bar.In the "classic" room we had a nice balcony, but the bathroom was tiny, not big enough to turn around without bumping a knee. Small amoire, sufficient hangers, a small dresser with real drawers in it. The place is dated, looks 1980's decor, clean but needs freshening!
The incline up from town is VERY steep, then you have a set of stairs up to front terrace. The parking lot is 20 steps above the hotel so if you're women traveling alone, good luck with the luggage. Pleasant, kept clean, very quiet area at night. Gulf of Poets is magical.More
