We usually stay at 4-5* hotels, but it was difficult to find any in that area.

But we didn't regret our choice. Doria Hotel is beautiful stylish hotel right in the centre (5 min walk to the center), up on the hill that provides an amazing view. Though it was difficult to find it, don't rely on GPS and use directions provided by the hotel.

We stayed at room "special", it's not big but very cozy and clean.

Breakfast was superb, with fresh juices, eggs, ham, cheese and wide choice of pastries.

Overall we had a great time and would come back.

We explored Cinque Terre. First day we went with boat, which was nice, but took us too long to get there and get back. Next time we took a car and found it more convenient.

We travelled with one year old child and found Lerici a great place to stay with the kids while exploring Cinque Terre. A lot of entertainment along the promenade and playgrounds.

We also had a dinner at hotel restaurant and actually enjoyed it. Food and wine, all was very good.

Great location, just a short walk from the main piazza.large garden and ample view over the golfo dei poeti. great breakfast and very friendly stuff. parking available (and parking can be very difficult in lerici). I also noticed they can arrange a pick up from the main airports, so ,overall, a very pleasant experience

Room Tip: higher floors afford a better view

Stayed 2 nights for work with a group of 4. I was put in the 'annex' which seems to be an apartment building just off the hotels main patio entrance - others have complained and I guess it does seem a bit odd with its fairly low rent entrance area but the room was really quite good. 2 double beds and a reasonable shower room. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet at night which I love.

Others in the group had rooms in the main hotel - these had jacuzzi baths but no shower.

The main hotel was fine - very helpful staff. Small bar which could get a bit crowded if more than 2 groups in. I had breakfast at just after 8.00 each morning and their wasn't much left and had to ask for bread and eggs etc - perhaps I should get up earlier! Also had lunch one day and that was very good.

Location of the hotel is great, just above the town, so quiet - yes its a steep hill but no real issue. The view is lovely, right over the bay from most of the rooms.

Overall this was a nice place to spend a couple of nights on business and i'd stay again. Yes i'd like a pool and gym etc but for the price its fine.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room at the front with view. If you want a shower make sure you ask. Some rooms have a jacuzzi, and even a hot tub!

I recently spent twelve days at this hotel while travelling for business. The view to the local harbor from the hotel room was fabulous. The staff was corteous and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and adequate as one would expect from a three star hotel. The breakfast buffet was similar to what you'd find at an American hotel. Dinner was OK, but there are much better options to eat dinner in Lerici. I had to get used to take showers in a bath tub as the bathrooms do not have regular showers. The wi-fi was inexpensive, but extremelly slow in the evenings, and I had a bit of a problem getting some of the TV stations (all are in Italian). I strongly recommend getting directions from the staff ahead of time if you are arriving by car; the GPS will take you to the piazza in the town center, from where you need to walk pretty steep steps.

Room Tip: Request a room vith a view to the sea

Nice enough hotel in a lovely location. But not an iron in sight - not in the rooms, not at reception. They have a laundry service but it only work 8-5 which is completely useless if you arrive pm for a meeting the next day. None of us could believe it - so irritating and yet so easy to sort out.

Room Tip: If you need an iron, take one 'cos they ain't got any !! Ask for a room with a balcony
